I think he hurt his thumb when he was starting and the other guy came in and won the start. I assume he is leaving because he thought he should get his start back. Not sure.

Wholeheartedly agree. If he can win the starting job outright that stabilizes the LSU QB situation. Yeah, someone may transfer but likely MB and LN stay. Also would give Gunnell something to look at as far as team direction.

My question isn't should we or should we not get Burrow. My question is why can't we develop a QB. The problem was supposed to be Les Miles. He is gone but apparently the problem is not. We should have a QB coach in some capacity as developing QB's has been a problem for over a decade now.

Based on this comment are you saying that these guys are good enough to start, and if not here, could leave and start somewhere else? Or will they be in a backup position at another school? If they're good enough to start, then why hasn't one of them been named the starter and why is the coaching staff entertaining a transfer QB?

The way I see it, bringing in more competition won't hurt. If the other QBs get their feelings hurt than they shouldn't start in the first place.

BTW Who the hell are we recruiting at QB that are so mentally fragile they want to leave when the going gets tough? Matt Flynn wasn't afraid of competition and he ended up with a NC his senior year and signed with the Packers.

It's a chess match. The 3 QB's battling for starter will get their feelings hurt and 1 or 2 or even all 3 could make the decision and leave.
jibberish.

Should we also not recruit any QBs for fear of hurt feelings and transfers??

Good lord, this is just complete nonsense. I've been a college football lover for 50 years and have never once heard of the "hurt feelings" argument.

This is competitive sports. Bring in the most talent players you can, at each position, and let them fight it out for playing time.

You think Saban or Meyer worry about hurt feelings???

I guess you're just willfully ignoring JT Barrett in order to cram this square argument into a round narrative.

I agree that we bring anyone who might help LSU. My issue is with the people acting like he is some All-American with titles under his belt.

He's a career backup who will have to come in and learn a whole new system in two months.

Can he do that AND beat three guys with a 6-month headstart? Possible, but not likely.

Take him, yes, but don't expect him to come in and set the world on fire.

Exactly, not to mention all the hype we’ve heard about Brennan the past 2 years.

Based on every other graduate transfer, the odds are that he won’t start or be mediocre at best. Most of the successes have been at non power 5 schools

I dont see Myles leaving. He was all LSU in his recruitment. he has a GF at LSU. He is happy here.

Its not ridiculous for a QB to not be ready his So. year. He may need another year.

If I was a good QB I wouldn't come to LSU. No coach at LSU can coach a QB up ! No QB u !!!

Inagree....the problem is the timing of the move. Qe are trying to developers a starter, and that is done by getting the most practice reps possible. Those reps will now be split with the new competition.
So if the competition isnt ready to start against Miami, our starter will be less prepared because of the new guy stealing reps.
