Shel, there is a word in the dictionary called 'sarcasm'
After you look it up and read it a few times I'm pretty sure you'll understand what's going on.
Good luck with the rest of your very serious life.

NFL success has nothing to do with how well the team did in college. Joe Burrow may do mediocre in NFL, but doesnt take away from the greatest college QB in history.

Can you honestly say those teams would have beat this LSU team? LSU blows them out, in my opinion.

This LSU team is the greatest team, with the most impressive year. Currently.

But the idea that never in the course of human history will it happen again is silly. Records are made to be broken.

Wanted no part of 10-3 Rohan-led LSU by the end of that year and that's a FACT.

I think there was just something special about this team and their chemistry. That's why I think you could say they were the greatest team, because they were a true TEAM. There was heart, a brotherhood of men who seemed to genuinely care about one another, stood united. There was something intangible, that "how many have future NFL talent?" doesn't matter. One team. One Heartbeat.

It will take a few years of our 2019 LSU players in the NFL to show if they are in the same talent range of 2001 Miami.
TEAM, not talent. Why is so hard to understand?
By your reasoning, Tom Brady at Michigan was the greatest College QB ever because he won Super Bowls and MVP's. He wasn't.

Their NFL success has nothing to do with what they accomplished and how they played in college.

But arguments can be made that 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami could beat 2019 LSU in a game. That Miami team was LOADED with NFL pro bowlers,

Maybe but if so it would have just been because Miami would have still had their shanks from prison on them.

This is about the greatest college team ever. Not who had the best NFL players or the most talent.

Downvote just for the title of the thread. Yeah, we were all just standing around slack-jawed and drooling until your superior intellect explained it all. I mean seriously, we had no idea.

A QB raised 500k for a food bank en route to a perfect season where we broke every meaningful record on offense.

We get it.

Joe Burrow and Coach O feared no team.

If you had gone to Las Vegas at the start of the year and told them this is what you think LSU would do in 2019 and 2020 in the title game they would have given you a million to one odds. Yes, you bet one dollar with a chance to win a million dollars. They would have considered that achievement a statistical impossibility.
Actually it was 20-1 odds in April. I made some money.
