Seriously the Tennessee shite needs to stop.

LSU will be fine. LSU will have better talent and LSU already wins on talent alone.

We lost 5
Games last season. We are 2-4 in the past 6 bowl
Games.

Our losses aren't even competitive.

Our wins are like torture at times.

My goodness you people need to get over the bad days. LSU is relevant and have won with Saban. He left and LSU won with Miles.

When did Tenn or Texas have two straight national
Championship coaches b2b? Huh? When? So why compare and worry about LSU becoming the next Tenn. LSU HAS ALREADY proven they can't survive a coaching change.

He might not deserve it but when you agree to accept the big bucks like he has then you have to be willing to accept that the bucks stops with you. I'm a fan of CLM and will be regardless of what the future holds. But, he has to put on his big boy pants and face the music. He has no one to blame but himself and if he doesn't like it then he should fix it.

I don't think the haters understand we are taking a huge risk by letting Miles go. I don't think some of them even care about the program to be honest.

I agree that he needs to be held accountable for a lot of stuff, especially since 1/9. And I have often said as much here.

But there is accountability- and then there are lynch mobs - torches blazing, pitchforks raised mobs who smell blood in the water and just want more. Many of these are posting their venom along this and other threads on the Rant.

I object to that kind of "accountability" because to me it lacks any sense of justice and trades it in for cheap retribution. Which in the end, leaves everybody lacking.

Say what you will about his successes and his failures, but CLM doesn't deserve this public lynching. This is how they finally took Cholly Mac down. It is getting ugly like that was, and that leads to nothing good. I thought the LSU powers and fan base had learned from that terrible time. Was I wrong?

I don't like it either....I love it.

Long overdue.

Would you care to provide some examples of this?
If you want examples, scroll up this and similar threads and read what some are saying about CLM. There is no grace, there is a lot of tearing down, the good things he has done are forgotten or ignored in the zeal to get him gone.

The dark side of the Tiger Nation is exposed. And it is not pretty.

I actually agree it has gotten out of hand. Some speculation is fine, and more involved speculation is fine behind closed doors. But you're right, this is a public lynching with a mob mentality. The LSU fanbase and media surrounding is packing the guys bags before even seeing the outcome of these next two weeks.

I am in the camp that LSU could and should do better. I am a huge critic of Les Miles, but man we need to give the guy an opportunity before we move the conversation any forward than saying that these next two games are important.

He said we would finally show improvement in the passing game, and have the confidence to actually use it. He fricking lied, and now we all know he lied. Again. And again. Every year the same bullshite. He is an anchor, dragging us down.

What does his wealth have to do with this? You sound like a peasant hating someone because they have more money than you do.

Beautifully stated. Could and should do better but let it play out.

Wtf are you talking about? He's richer than pretty much everyone on this board, and to call it "lynching" is a bit dramatic. He coaches at a big time football program, and this is what you have to deal with when you make as much money, and have everything in terms of talent and facilities any coach could ever want.

God I hate people so much. I really do.

Especially people like you.

Are you upset because you don't have a pitchfork figuratively speaking? Les has to go.

He has had chance upon chance. The ONLY National Championship that he won (with Sabans boys by the way) was after he lost 2 games - one to Arkansas and Kentucky

I agree that there are some 'common' people who frequently post uncalled for and inexcusable nonsense on this board. No justification for that sort of thing. For me, this is about what Miles has done for his entire coaching tenure at LSU and that, now, the production is just not there. Moreover, there is nowhere evidence that the problems which have plagued this program year on year are being addressed let alone solved.

The fact is that the road to the West championship goes through Tuscaloosa. It is clear to many that Miles is not the man to beat Saban. Just is not going to happen. So, either the program is satisfied to finish 2nd or worse in the West and maybe be lucky enough to get to Atlanta once in a great while, or it is time to find someone who really has a want to beat 'Bama.

Miles's teams are undisciplined and poorly prepared as often as not. I do not understand this given the stakes in the SEC. Surely Miles understands this, but has not had the imagination to keep the team in the hunt in November. Heck, even this year, it LSU had lost only to 'Bama, critics would have to bide their time. But the team came out against Arkansas and looked like they hadn't practiced in a month and looked disinterested. They have been pushed around the last two Saturday's like an FCS team which is not what one expects from a coach getting > 4M/year to say nothing of the supposed talent that he has. In my opinion the talent is just not there where it matters most-on the lines.

Miles in under the gun and rightly so. I see LSU getting whacked again badly after which the daggers will really be out. Frankly, this should not be an emotional thing, but for most fans it is. Alleva made a big mistake giving Miles an extension, but he is also the man that presided over the lynching of the Duke lacrosse team. If LSU really wants football to prosper, it needs a new AD.
