How do you figure that time was valuable? We scored what should have been the game tying touchdown anyway.

Just because they scored anyway, doesn't mean the time wasn't valuable.

LSU had to get the ball off with 1 second remaining (whistle would have started the clock until FSU called timeout). Would that time have been valuable then. What if he fields it and LSU goes down and scores the tying field goal and then is able to get the ball back with a chance to win in regulation.

Sure, you can say that FSU didn't score after either muff and LSU ultimately scored anyway so it doesn't matter. But that's an overly simplistic view of things.

The first muff cost LSU a possession. The second would have ended the game if FSU didn't royally screw up. Talk about a play call that's getting a total free pass just because they ended up winning.

Seems like on both muffed punts he was in motion of going down to his knees to catch the ball. That gotta be coached out of him or the fumbled punts will continue.

LSU and Kelly are the ones getting ridiculed because the tying extra point was blocked. But from an FSU perspective LSU should have NEVER touched the ball again with a chance to tie the game. LSU GAVE FSU the win with the dropped punt...only to have FSU unnecessarily give LSU an opportunity to tie/win the game. Had LSU made the extra point and ultimately won in OT Norvell would be (rightfully) getting roasted for that decision. Even just kneeling and taking the equivalent of an extra-point there makes it a 10 point game. LSU would have gotten the ball back, but with one timeout and roughly 1:00 to get two scores.

If I am a FSU fan I'm happy we won...but still not particularly confident going forward. That final decision was awful, and in a game where you largely outcoached and outplayed LSU you still needed a blocked XP to win.

Both muffs took away offensive possessions that we needed. He’s a good receiver. Keep him at receiver.

There were some pretty angry posts on the scoreboard last night.

IMO the admins need to start banning people/IP addresses, especially when bad threads refer to LSU players. Some may be LSU fans, but I really suspect others are trolls appearing as LSU fans. There was some really bad stuff posted (not only about players but coaches) and I've never seen it quite that bad.

We lost by 1 point.

So going from a 2 minute offense to a 1:10
Offense is kind a big deal.

Maybe we drive and kick a field goal. Who knows. They would have been in prevent and we moved the ball pretty well.

There is no hate for Nabers. Stop reading TD if you dont understand how to compartmentalize the dribble you read here

I don't think anyone has thrown hate on him here once the game was over. You can't really take things that are written on the scoreboard to heart. Emotions are high and low and people are stupid. The guy muffed 2 punts. To cap it off.... the last one was after a HUGE stop (finally) where we thought we really had a chance. There was plenty of frustration in the game.

Not condoning anyone saying stupid hateful stuff in the moment. But there's a reason the scoreboard is open and the rant gets closed.

I hope special teams gets plenty of reps because they all need it. Same goes for trying to return kick offs. There was literally zero areas special teams were good.

He screwed up but haven’t we all. I’m not sure he should still be returning punts, but I’ll respect whatever the coaches decide. I haven’t seen the hate against him on here.

Nabors will be fine. I'm assuming he won't be returning punts but he's a special young athlete.

The kid is wearing purple & gold...so he deserves some respect! He is family, so lighten up all you haters!

He will only grow from this experience. I hope he uses this moment as motivation to become a valuable asset to our team.
GOOD LUCK, KID!

I’m sure in the moment on the scoreboard there was a lot of “fricking idiot, what the frick is he thinking, etc”. That’s understandable. Anything related to “kill yourself” is obviously not.

Any posts after the game about him we’re mostly positive… as opposed to Boutte, Nabers body language showed how much he cared.

It’s not hateful to put someone in the position that can execute the catch. It’s the right thing to do.

Why are you so upset about a player in the game making a mistake? People Sunday night were telling that kid to kill himself. You're a total POS if you do, or condone, that kind of stuff.

And I'm not attacking anyone, just trying to put some perspective on those mistakes. Of course, I applaud the defense for bailing him out. I didn't really think that needed to be said. But I guess I was wrong with the low IQ posters on the rant.

There's none. Over exaggeration.

Hes a fine WR but can't be trusted at PR for a while.

Yeah, it was really bad. Things have settled down since then, which is why people just reading it aren't seeing the negativity.

I'm not sure why this thread keeps getting bumped. It's not even really relevant anymore. It was in direct reaction to the posts I read on Sunday night.

Again, people telling him to kill himself or irate because he "cost us the game" isn't cool. His mistakes didn't end up costing us the game. They were two in a litany of mistakes the team made.

And I don't get your suggestion to compartmentalize. The idiots on TD were the ones posting nasty shite about him so they're the ones I was talking to with my post.
