If he is gonna be our coach (whether you agree or not), he has to do what HE feels is best. His name is on it, not Canadas.
I try to hire good people in my business, but in the end I make the final call. No hard feelings involved.
I would bet this whole thing started because Canada went to whining about being told what to do. What a wuss

My 2 cents. May be wrong but I bet I'm not.

A d line coach shouldn’t meddle with an offensive coordinator who knows more about offense than said d line coach could ever dream of.

O shouldve let Canada run the offense with whoever he wanted, then thrown him under the bus for the mistakes at the end of the season.

Instead, we went 9-4 with a shrimp boat captain calling the shots.

So you don’t blame O for pissing away 3 million dollars and taking a year out of Lowell and Myles’s development?

Well, ya see, Lucious, Os is a proven fricktard. By his own admission his meddling in things he knew nothing about (football) is the reason he is widely regarded as the most absurd hire in college football history. So for some reason (God only knows) he was given the keys to LSU and PROMISED he would hire great coordinators and leave them alone. He didn't do that. So, "his names on it". Well, his name is shite anyway. His only hope was letting Canada coach.

I agree with you in that the HC should be the king of the football universe, but thats exactly the reason O should never have been hired.

He is the head coach. Dont give him the job if you dont want him meddling. I watched urban Meyer tear arse into his d.c a couple weeks ago. Should he not meddle? Or is it ok for him but not O.

My God, dude. What kind of business you running? A snow cone stand??

That's EXACTLY what we're saying! That was supposedly the reason he was hired.

Maybe he shouldn't have been hired. But he is here now, and we have a lot of money invested in him. He deserves the opportunity to pass or fail. And if he fails than its on him.

Technically you are wrong.

The buck stops at the top.
If Canada was too difficult to get along with etc then that is bad vetting on O.

O is totally wishy washy on what he thinks that he wants as his offense. I.e. talking about needing DT qb and spread to beat Bama; making unnecessary comments about what type of QB he wants when he did not even have an OC hire yet.

Many other things.

Both guys are obviously in the wrong.
Not very easy to take up for either one.

Now O wants a loyal good ole boy network so they dont challenge him.

We will not when Championships with this current model.
Jmo.

Hope I am wrong.
I do not care who the Coaches are. I just want to look like a real team and win Championships at a reasonable rate.

O, (defensive background) is pissed at Canada, (offensive background), because Canada couldn't make O's offense click? What's wrong with this picture? Seems like overreach to me.

He probably just yelled at him to get his shite together. Highly unlikely he tried to change his defensive or take away play calling duties but keep on trying to justify Coach 0s stupidity.

I'm pretty sure Urban was a D coordinator before.

My bad he did coach defense in college but never a coordinator.

I do. I compltetly Blame him.

He said this was his biggest issue at Ole Miss and he said that he would let them do their jobs, and the going gets tough and he steps where he doesn’t belong.

Who here wants O coming up with our offensive game plan, or making any fundamental changes to our offense.

[quote]O is totally wishy washy on what he thinks that he wants as his offense.

This is logical and I would agree if true. But in his defense , he could have felt that all that eye candy wasn't doing shite. Which is exactly what every coach said who played us every week. It is possible that he realize it served no purpose.

Yeah, this is the same thing as you hiring people to sweep up at the country store.

My point was not in taking up for Canada but simply stating what O did.

You are right. The boss of any business can do a lot (has a lot of leeway but the boss can get fired or the business just close if they are wrong

Both guys are at fault. Period.

So what games did O call the plays? Just the losses? Or was it more of a play by play base? Gains was Canada, losses and incomplete O?

After the Troy loss O should have just let him run the offense. The season was already done

Canada's offensive product he put on the field was hurting the team. Imagine if O had not addressed that and the penalties what some of you would be saying now. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I don't think O was the best choice, but he's here for now and Canada is no Saint in this. He's know for getting into with about every coach he ever worked for. Are they all wrong?

So you take possibly the least qualified person on staff to run an offense and tell the most qualified person on staff how to do his job?
