On another note with the split option. Alabama is the favorite in the AP. If OSU were to beat LSU in the BCSNCG, the AP would, most likely, crown Alabama with a win in the Sugar. That's the only way I could see a split.

No such thing. As with 03, there is only one champion, the BCS Champion.

Yes, today, November 22. That's the word. Makes for good copy. But when December 2 rolls around, there will be fresh talking points (no matter how much you do not want to hear it) centered around "Bama had their chance. Let OSU go if they beat OU." In fact, what CFN and Danielson have done was start the movement. Tide better root for the Sooners.

There is no such thing as a "split" national title!
Whoever wins the NCG is the NC, period. Even if that is Bama over us. We do not want to be whining like USCw did, and the AP poll is simply the vote of a self-important bunch of journalism majors.

Exactly. It was Brent Mushmouth who made the "USC has a claim" comment just as LSU was finishing up their abuse of the Sooners.
