His luck ran out quick, it exposed just how bad of a coach he was. Unreal recruited and human being, horrible at every other aspect of coaching.

That pretty much sums up Les Miles, but I guess we can add what had been mentioned earlier as well- his stubbornness! Failure to change caught up with him; he thought he could keep it going his way, but no more.

LSU brass didn't do him any favors by not firing him last year (for the inevitable grammar police yes i know that's a double negative). He actually would've been much better off - as bringing him back for 16' season proved him to be ever more of a stubborn liar.

Nobody wants that. I think it's becoming clear to him now.

Les Miles is stubborn head coach. Stubborness can be a very poor quality in a head coach.

Please call it for what it is: STUBBORNNESS = STUPID

If you're that stubborn for that long - even though the needed change was obvious - then you're just STUPID.

Not gonna call you stupid for misspelling stubbornness. It's tricky.

Actually, that's not a double negative. Your negatives are in separate clauses. A bit awkwardly worded, yes; but double negative, no.

A double negative would be: "LSU brass didn't do him no favors by not firing him last year ..."

At all of you delicate little flowers still hating on Les Miles. You are pathetic and funny at the same time.

Here is an undeniable fact:

On his worst day Les Miles knows more about football than any of you do or ever will. It's true and deep down inside you know it. Basically it's like you little darlings go out and buy a Superman tee shirt, and then you think you can fly.

That's what's so funny.

I think as his kids got into he high school he really began to focus more on them than his job. Honestly, you can't blame him for that. However, his ego likely never allowed him to delegate more.

Looks like Houston did the same thing LSU did for the same reasons......

They hired from within for the continuity.

quote:

Applewhite's familiarity and relationships with Texas high school football coaches and the continuity his hire would provide were major factors in the decision to choose him over Kiffin, Fertitta said.

"The Texas high school football coaches bombarded our athletic director [Hunter Yurachek] and said: We want our kids to play for Major Applewhite," Fertitta said. "Here's a guy that's been on the big stage, he was the quarterback at the University of Texas, he has a great relationship with the coaches and high school football in Texas. Lane does not. That was an 'X' against Lane compared to Major.

"Continuity in the program, the kids, the recruits today playing wanted Major Applewhite. They let it be known. It was just one thing after another that had steamrolled to Major."

quote:

"I'll be 100 percent honest with you. When this started, I thought that we needed to go out and get a name-brand coach, because, to me, it's all about brands," Fertitta said. "Nobody understands that better than me. And I wanted the University of Houston to stay relevant, OK?

But we need him to know more than those we compete against. One does not need to have a teaching degree to see when a teacher ain't doing a good job.

I have heard different stories about what went on in the locker room of the 2011 championship game. I know one thing LSU UNDER Miles went down hill from there.

Les Miles is half brain dead and half mentally retarded. Very "simple" human being who thought his incoherent babbling was "witty and cunning", when he just constantly looked like a complete doof.

Maybe so. We're fans. As far as him being an intelligent Collegiate head football coach, he's as fricked up as a pair of basketball cleats.

Sorry bro if these derogatory Les Miles comments make you tear up and punch a pillow.

Member when he quit after 1/9? I member. You member?

He went 21-13 in conference after that. That is 61.7%.

If you do the math on his $12 million dollar net worth, only giving him 3% interest a year on $10 million, he makes $5729 a week before taxes. This is not counting his landslide in Go-Away money.

He will be alright.
