4) Do not root externally for A&M unless you end up sitting in a sea of A&M fans. Even then remember to not gloat about anything after the game, especially in case of an Aggie victory.
5) If you are sitting in a completely LSU area look up some of the motions and words to "neck" to silently mouth - you don't actually have to sing along.
6) A thick southern accent will work in place of a cajun one if you don't have a natural one.
7) Be prepared for LSU fans to cheer injuries to Aggies, cheer bad calls from the officiating unit, boo everything that goes in favor of A&M, in general drunkenness, cursing, asshattery, etc.
8) Ear plugs if you end up near the Tiger band - they will continue to do dumb atonal and loud things on the fly they decide make them cool.
9) Exit the stadium after the game with your group, at the correct flow of everyone else, and the shortest path you can to get to your way off the University and back into your vehicle.
10) Expect broken windows/slashed tires/urine or sugar in the gas tank/stolen vehicle upon returning to your vehicle. You will be relieved upon arrival and it turns out its still there & operable.
11) In the event of an Aggie victory, do your best to already start moving toward other Aggie fans during the final minutes or any overtime. Stay with a large Aggie group since the herd is the safest and easiest to defend against idiot corn dogs. Expect thrown bodily waste, food, bottles even when you have arrived back at your vehicle in case of a victory.
12) Baton Rouge & LSU Uni Cops are no nonsense and will not listen to your side - if you get rounded up by them both you and the corn dog will be beaten up and tossed into holding.
13) If possible do not celebrate until you are back safely in College Station or home.

This is great.
You'd think they were heading to a South American soccer match and not Baton Rouge for an SEC football game.

Okay, there are parts of BR are that complete shitholes.
But there are very nice areas of Baton Rouge too.
I don't know how this is different than any other medium to large size city - based on what I've seen when visiting other cities.
Of course, people in BR's bad neighborhoods seem to be better at killing each other than most other cities.
That being said - I would much rather live in BR than College Station.

Any team that has a dog named lassie and a gay mating call the night before a game should be afraid to play anywhere.

Do you see what you LSU fans have done? People are terrified of coming to Baton Rouge. As a fan base we need to do some soul searching

It's Bayou Classic weekend in New Orleans. The crowd for that is so rough, even most of the strip joints on Bourbon Street close for the weekend. DO NOT go to New Orleans.
Lot's of place close for "maintenance" during the Bayou Classic.

My first and last trip to BR was freshman year 1975.
I was at this game and remember the awesome flyover by some Confederate Air Force warbirds: P-51, P-47, P-38, and F-4U. The P-38 crashed the next day at an airshow in New Iberia.

wish I could remember the post someone made a few years ago about that, to a faggie, "you've got three people to walk around with your mascot to protect him, we have to build a tree-million dollar habitat to protect you and that mutt from getting eaten the frick out of" or sumpin' like that

The dog's name is Reveille, but everything else in your post is true.

My first and last trip to BR was freshman year 1975. Good guys won and in an angry fit LSU fans pushed the Aggie Shuttle Bus I had riden in onto its side thus breaking most of the passenger side windows.

Ive spent a week in College Station, and let me tell you, LSU ain’t got shite on that metropolis
Not only that, College Station is literally in the middle of fricking nowhere. I literally rode through a desert to get there

Imagine being so scared to go to a football game that you solicit advice on a message board

Ok, for all you kids, we actually did do all all this shite in the 70s. They used to pick up those little cars like MGs and VWs and put them bushes, rock the buses, etc. cops would just laugh. Good times.

Decadence Fest.
Couple of years ago when we played BYU in the Dome...this was going on in the Quarter.
Had a couple of Army friends in for the game from up North.
Never been in the FQ before.
Let's just say they got an education.
Prolly needed some therapy after witnessing some of the shite we saw down there.

None of that crap is true. You'll get what you give from 95% of the home fans- just like anyplace else.
Don't listen the wussies. Come over and have a good time.

It really is quite comical. BR is like a lot of other cities, stay out of the shithole areas and you'll be fine. And it's pretty easy to tell if you are in one.
As far as the gameday experience, I've rarely seen an opposing fan being mistreated. Lsu has some of the most hospitable fans around.
