Baton Rouge is a ****hole. They don't have anything of interest to see on campus or the bar district. Have a thick skin. It will be a night game and all the fans will have spent all day getting wasted at their tailgates. They are *******s to highest degree and some of the worst that college football has to offer. I would stay in NOLA and drive in for the game. Leave immediately after and head back to NOLA. Spend as little time in BR as possible. I will never go back to BR.

I mean its hard to argue a good bit of this. Its not a safe place

That is so Aggie to have to qualify that with “if we win”

Why do we have this reputation? Every away fan I’ve actually met has said they’re treated well.

It really is confusing. In all my years attending LSU games I've only once seen an opposing team's fans treated badly. And the dude who was talking shite was quickly grabbed by other LSU fans and dragged out of the situation.

In the early 90s as a recent college student AND with a group of LSU students I was at college station where we accidently walked on the sacred grass on campus... corps guys ran at us like a frigging mob and rapid dogs. Numerous trips to the chicken over the years where 'if you ain't aggie, you ain't shite.'

Tough for me to ever buy what aggie is selling.

At first I thought all this was a troll and then remembered it's TxAgs where they really believe this shite.

My first and last trip to BR was freshman year 1975. Good guys won and in an angry fit LSU fans pushed the Aggie Shuttle Bus I had riden in onto its side thus breaking most of the passenger side windows.

Gonna need confirmation on this

It's Bayou Classic weekend in New Orleans. The crowd for that is so rough, even most of the strip joints on Bourbon Street close for the weekend. DO NOT go to New Orleans.

Well he's not wrong on this. I avoid the French quarter for 3 weeks out of the year: Bayou Classic, Essence Fest, and Decadence Fest.

Late in the second quarter of the Oct. 31 game, following an SMU touchdown that made the score 12-0 en route to a 27-7 victory, SMU's male cheerleaders ran onto the astroturf at Kyle Field to spell out 'SMU' with their bodies. A&M tradition prohibits visiting cheerleaders from going onto the playing surface.

Hood, the officer of the day and responsible for the general behavior of the Aggie student body, rushed onto the field after the SMU cheerleaders, brandished his saber and thrust it threatenly at one of them. Another cheerleader knocked Hood down and Texas A&M security officers and one Aggie football player stopped the scuffle.

SMU cheerleaders said they were not informed of the rule which limited their activities to the sidelines.

A&M security officers said the rule also prohibited Hood from going on the field.

Hood, of Dallas, said between sessions of Monday's hearing he had reacted as an Aggie, not as a cadet.

'Fellow Aggies have stood behind me, even though I was wrong in what I did,' he said

It’s a tradition to not let opposing cheerleaders on the field. A tradition.. what a retarded place.

Yeah, the toy soldiers are a weird, scary group and not afraid to terrorize anyone who doesn't have a grasp of their traditions. It's the oddest thing I've ever seen and frankly, not to be trifled with unless you want to get your arse kicked.

Oh yeah, College Station is a fricking toilet so I have no idea what the rub is with BR.

How about this gem?

Either way, we're still Aggies and they'll always be swamp rats. Win or lose, we're better, period

Lol what a loser mentality.

They're so fricking weird. I went into their student union last year to use the bathroom. Somebody hollered at me and made me take off my hat. It was a huge place that was packed with people, but it was extremely quiet for gameday and all you heard was a soft playing of a piano in one of the common areas. fricking daisy killers man.

I've never seen any such treatment of out of town fans in my 35 years of going to LSU games.

But I'm not going to tell that to the Aggie fans.

They should be scared.

I only ate asparagus and drank as little water as possible last week so my piss was extra concentrated and pungent. Have it sitting in a bucket with a space heater running for extra fermentation and ready to pack into the balloons Friday night.

Saturday, it's on

I was at that game as well.

They did indeed beat the hell out of the Tigers but,I remember most their band all dressed in khaki, and them running near full speed back to their seats after their halftime gig,...I was 12. Since then their quirky traditions have always fascinated me.
