Other than watching a live game that may interest me, I have little to no reason to ever turn the SECN on.

Like any other channel its going to be about ratings, meaning it will be mostly Bama centric with features on other teams sprinkled in periodically.

The bottom line is the gumps put 90K plus in a stadium for a fricking spring game. They will drive the ratings because there is a large population of their fan base that will sit in front of the TV and watch it all day long. Alabama football is their number 1 priority in life. Just be happy you live a life with other priorities and you will probably never be arrested for murdering another LSU fan because he isn't as upset about a loss as you think he should be.

Get used to it already people. This will be a lovefest for Alabama and occasionally someone else. It won't ever be about LSU.

Why would anyone watch 2 gump inbreds screaming at each other. It's the sec network not the gump network.

What do you expect? Do you expect them to always show your team and everything you like?

There is no possible way you can like everything any channel plays.

Simple solution.

Check your guide channel. Scroll to SECN. Read about what is showing at the time you can watch.

If LSU is in it, watch.
If panel discussion with Miles in it, watch.
If panel discussion with Miles and satan in it, mute satan and take quick cat nap while he's talking.

I know this is the Rant, and people hereon aren't really highly opinionated. However, there seems to be a worldwide problem that seems to center on sports teams and their fans. Many elevate their favorite team to a "god-like" status and continue to worship these man-made gods to the point of insanity. If a team "worship" fragments or destroys a relationship between two human beings (or between God and man), and elevates itself above the "condescending to people of low estate" attitude we are to have, it basically alienates us to the point where we become "insane." I have to continue to remind myself that my wife (an Alabama fan) and commitments are more important than LSU football. There is nothing wrong with balance, but the temporal things wear off in time, but true love for/from God and people should exalt itself above all. We feed what we love, but that love is usually tested when we are in the throes of frustration and disappointment when our team is behind or loses. Do we have self-control? If not, we will throw things at the TV or have a tantrum. Can we graciously lose and win without destroying a relationship? Perhaps we need a 12-step recovery process (like AA or Celebrate Recovery) that involves us sports fans? The first step in the process is to get out of denial. Following the rest of the process should get us to a point where relationships are more important than addictions. I find myself in denial more than I wish, but there is hope. I apologize is I have upset someone's apple cart, but I can rant, too...

So you're the guy who's kid on the little league team should be the focus of everything, huh?

it's the SEC Network, not the LSU network. It's funny you said 13/14 chance given there are 14 teams in the SEC and 13 of them aren't LSU.

Weird!

If any school has a bitch bout lack of air time, it would be Mizzo first & then the hawgs next. I don't sit & watch it all day long, but whenever there is a roundtable with different analysts, I never hear a word bout those 2 teams. Finebaum got all pissy the other day when a S.Carolina fan called in saying he was tired of the "BamaNetwork"; he promptly hung up, shaking his head & mumbling..more so than normal...that it was not the bamanetwork". He actually looked and sounded pissed.

Could you guys please grow the f$ck up and quit bitching about LSU coverage on the SEC network? The damn thing is barely a week old. Just a reminder that LSU is getting the same $$ from the network as the other 13 programs.

We are one of the top programs in the best conference in college football...in the national conversation every year. I attended LSU during the dry years in the 80's, so perhaps my persepective is a bit different.
