I watched his presser today and I think he gets a bad rap. He is a straight shooter and I think he knows what he is talking about.

Yes he has had some bad moments but most everybody has. I guess he just has to implement his vision. The offense needs to find itself you guys will be a good team.

Just my honest opinion!

Les Miles is a great guy. People don't take that into consideration. Yes, it shouldn't matter, but I'm proud to say that he's our coach due to that issue. Now he needs to prove himself on the field this year.

Out of all the coaches, he is one that I think would sit down with just about anybody and talk to you like a normal person.

Wanna trade? We will even throw a slightly used QB in the deal.

Ha, I know you guys did. But I really don't like Les for THOSE reasons.

I like to think I'm not the typical chest thumping 'Bama fan.

yep when another team likes your coach its probably a bad sign esp if they have beatin you 2 straight years.

of course bama fans want les to stay around

Bama needs to circle the wagons then, because there are about 50 regular posters here who have a man crush on their coach.

That's not true. There are plenty of coaches I "like." Richt, for one, is likeable.

I don't care if Les stays on at LSU or not. I was just giving out my opinion on him.

I am the same way. I like Beamer, Bobby Johnson, Butch Davis, Richt, Mullen, and a number of others. In none of those cases is it because I think the coach makes the team "more" beatable than if they had a hypthetical "better" coach.

Likewise, I don't like Petrino, Tuberville, Saban, Spurrier, and a number of others. In none of those cases is it because they are good coaches (although in that list, they all are). I don't like them, and would not want them to coach at LSU for reasons unrelated to their ability to coach.

I like him too. He's a good guy and means really well. I really want him to have a big year. I understand all the crap he gets for X's and O's and coaching decisions, but all the personal hate is horrible.

Thanks, the bad thing is that the biggest critics of Miles is our own fanbase.

well why would another fanbase want to go after miles? they either dont care one way or the other about him or they are glad that he is having clock it moments and losing games he shouldn't.

so any coaches biggest critics will probably come from that teams fanbase

I like Les and I thought for the most part he was well spoken today. He admitted to not being in that situation before regarding the screw up at the end of the Ole Miss game. Sometimes you learn from mistakes. He will be a better coach for it. Write it down and remember this post. This year he will make the people who have called him stupid look stupid. Geaux Tigers
