Exactly my point. Spurrier is doing phenomenally well considering the money/talent that is available to USCe.

You guys act as if South Carolina is broke and barely spends money.

What is their recruiting budget? Do you know?

West Virginia was a play or two from a National Championship appearance in '05.

Facilities?

Are you gonna seriously sit there in good faith with a straight face and say that USCe facilities and money even compares to UTenn, UF, UGA, Bama, LSU, and Auburn?

compared to where it started, Spurrier has built it up and they are spending money as success comes in.

They didn't spend that kind of money they do now until Spurrier (and Holtz) to a lesser extent built it up.

LA talent>SC

South carolina has to split talent with Clemson.

Bama facilities, history, and eveything else helps them take GA.

you are absolutely delusional if you think Spurrier hasn't done a phenomenal job at USCe.

they have nowhere near the facilities and budget/money that Tennessee has either.

They don't have the money/facilities UGA has.

I feel like I'm posting in 1997. Are we seriously talking about having Spurrier as a head coach?

That ship has sailed years ago. He's not elite anymore.

Pretty close, which is why I like Petrino over Spurrier.

Spurrier's main issue is trying to get a good QB to South Carolina as their state rarely produces any.

Moustache is trying any and every way to discredit Miles as the coach at LSU

If you're interested go look them up, but I'm not wasting an hour on google to show you something that should be fricking obvious.

Money aside though, South carolina is in a state that doesn't put out near the amount of talent as LA, FL, GA, and AL.

Maybe we can get Lou Holtz. I mean he won a national Championship for a team that hasn't sniffed another one since. That has to mean he's awesome.

I just looked up their facilities.

Sure doesn't look obvious to me.

Show me the numbers since you are so sure about it. Have you ever looked them up?

I'm not discrediting Miles. Just because I believe Spurrier and Petrino are better coaches doesn't mean that I am taking anything away from Miles.

If I was offered a trade right now, i would only trade for Petrino or Saban and nobody else.

That's it. That is a huge credit to the job Miles has done.

2005 wouldn't have been the same record INO. No way SOS would have blown a big lead to UT. Instead of getting all conservative and trying to hang on he would have opened it up and put a beat down on the Vols.

Steve Spurrier

2005----Probably the same record because of Katrina.
2006----NC, I have no doubt we had more talent than UF.
2007----NC, but with only 1 loss somewhere in there.
2008----10-2
2009----10-2
2010----Possible NC year, but I think we were a year away on offense.
2011----NC

Really, you expect to win 3-4 NCs every 7 years?

You have NO CLUE!

REad this article. Keep in mind USCe wasn't spending like this until Spurrier built it.

Plus, lack of history makes it hard to pull kids from GA and FL, which is the only way SC can succeed being as they have to split a state with Clemson and the state doesn't have a shitload of talent every year.

I never said I EXPECT that. I'm just saying that the talent was certainly there for it.

LSU has had unbelievable talent since about 2003.

I am definitely overrating Spurrier. But for the most part you and most people UNDERRATE him because he isn't winning NCs at south fricking carolina.

Keep in mind that history and talent available counts for a shite load more than much else.

The thing that sux is having saban in the same division. Miles has seen succes cus his style works when ur vastly superior talent wise than every team but 1 on ur schedule. Before saban it was meyer and UF. Miles is a good coach and was a good hire. 1st he hasnt left us like a lot of other coaches, with stability at the head i see LSU continuing to have success, but not as much as bama and saban.

If you would have asked me uesterday i would have said sack his arse. For me its all about the qb position from here on out. If his recruited qbs continue to fail then ill be seriously rethinking my stance on finding someone better. Oh and no way i wanted patrino. Spurrier yes, but his shipped has sailed now so i think long term Les was still a good hire.
