Came here to say this. As long as it's 720p, that's good enough.
Didn't know that about CBS. Are you sure? I don't even think most satellite/cable boxes support 1080p. Do you mean 1080i which is basically 720p?

4k resolution>1080>720. Considering about 95% of everything being broadcast on TV is in 720, it's no big deal what LSU puts in. To those crying about not having 1080, 4k is better resolution that 1080.

People are acting like this is not a big deal, but if two SEC teams are both getting brand new video boards at the same time, there is no reason LSU shouldn't have the absolute best.

Why? We dont average the most fans. Obviously other schools have more people that give a shite. HD screens arent going to bring 20k more people to the games.

We cannot have top-of-the-line stuff in TS partially because our university has mandated that the LSUAD send $7million plus to the academic side EVERY year regardless of LSUAD income.

Just want to take this opportunity to voice again what many already have. Last year's ad-fest was inexcusible and indefensible. I know common thought was that contracts were in place and could not be broken. How about altering? Everyone involved, including the advertisers themselves, had to see that was an absolute embarassment. And frankly, I don't expect anything better this year. What a shame to see other schools using their boards for the right reasons, while LSU and its advertisers continue to rape and pillage the LSU fans.
Tell me what additional I need to pay per game to get an uncluttered full screen, and I will gladly pay it.

It's small in the grand scheme of things but don't tell me it wouldn't be an improvement over that garbage. LSU should always be striving to improve however small the improvement, would you disagree?

don't complain about stuff like this on here. lsu fans have come to accept mediocrity in things like this. just like the restrooms & concession stands that were added on last minute to the south expansion..

If you don't think those TV's need to be replaced you're just trying to be a jackass. HDTV's are so cheap right now there is no reason not to replace them.

I do agree. I mean how in the world can we live being a few minutes away from HD? What indignity will LSU inflict upon us next? Not enough ketchup?
