But make no mistake about it... he has a tough road ahead of him for a couple of years. He still has no QB, and he has gaps in his depth all over the place.

You mean like keeping the same qbs tbat were committed under miles?

No, idiots like you that don't like EO will just find a way to blame everything on him instead of looking at it objectively.

Na. Its football ignorant people like you that will explain away all his failures.

Did you ever stop to consider that EO and SE were each week trying to change and tweak the offense (during the season for christi sake)? Did you ever stop to think the offense revolved around LF? Did you ever stop and consider that just maybe this tweaking had something to do (at times) with players being a little confused?

And there it is.

You are correct. There are issues all over the roster. And the nimrods around here will blame EO if he doesn't win 10... because they expect him to turn water into wine. 2018 is going to be a difficult year for all of us and if EO survives that year, we should trend upwards after that. In 2018, we will be breaking in a new QB, new RB, and positions all over the field. Gonna be a tough year and EO will have every stone in the river thrown at him.

Youre a fricking moron if you think lsu isnt one of the 5 most talented programs in cfb.
God our fan base is the most football ignorant fan base in cfb.
Not even close.

o this should be a license to slam the guy before he even has a chance to make his mark? The criticisms of Miles were legit because we witnessed firsthand his undoing.

Its not slamming him to call him what he is. He is a 55 year old career position coach. 29 of his 32 year career has been at a position.

But yeah its pretty hypocritical that you ran down one of the most successful coaches in the history of the sec for years and get all pissy when anyone mentions FACTS about ed orgeron.

I thought not getting job offers meant coaches sucked. Thats what you said. Well no one wanted ed Orgeron as a coordinator.

You said miles was underachieving with all this talent and just last week you deemed lsu's talent as a steaming pile of mess.

Now winning 10 games shouldnt be expected. At least thats what cra cra said.

It's stupid to think all people anti-O were pro-Miles

That implies the ONLY reason not to like the hire is if you are butt hurt we fired Miles

Which.....a lot of people obviously are. Some of these fricks would have allowed that stupid azz to stay here until TS was a ghost town and the program was imploding.

Its also doesnt mean you want O to fail of youre against the hiring. I hope o has the best tenure in lsu history. That doesnt mean im blind to his past or that people are moving the bar lower for him.

A poster in this thread basically said we dont have the talent to expect 10 wins.

So you wanted miles to fail for the last 5 years?
If calling into question lsu's head coach means you wanted them to fail then youve wanted miles to fail since 1/9/12.
But let me guess, you deemed it ok since in your eyes it was warranted.

Its also stupid and simplistic to lump people into categories of "anti-Miles" and "anti-Orgeron" or "haters" of either, based upon support or lack of support for employment decisions.
I liked and respected Miles. Thought he was a class act, represented the school well and wanted him gone as head coach. He deserves more respect for his service and his highly successful record, but he had the program on a clear decline.
I think Orgeron was a great addition to our staff and is one of the greater recruiters and DL coaches anywhere. Colorful and very likeable. Also, unqualified to be a HC at any major football school. I hope he works out despite this, but have grave doubts. Maybe great coordinators or his recruiting success will overcome weaknesses.

No im using the logic youre applying to me about Coach O. You dont believe i want O to be successful because im constantly questioning him. You questioned miles for years yet claim you didnt want Miles to fail.
You say im acting like a child because i expect you to apply the same logic to yourself that you apply to everyone else.

You know i love you Red but youre really hypocritical when it comes to lsu under miles and coach O.

Youre in every thread that says miles underachieved with all this talent and now all the sudden youre claiming talent deficiencies.

You say not getting job offers means a coach sucks yet ed orgeron wasnt even getting coordinator offers.

You say i dont want O to be successfsuccessful because i always question him yet you questioned miles for years.

I think youre a decent guy and poster but i wish youd apply the same logic to yourself that you apply to me.

These Orgeron years will be referred to as the pre-Frank Wilson era.
