How will McCarron do under the pressure of the BCSNCG?

I think this will be a huge factor in this game. He has never played in a game of this magnitude. I know JJ has not either but he has 4 years of starting for LSU plus 3 Bowl games. What do other people think.

JJ played well in the Cotton Bowl which was practically a BCS bowl. He was also efficient in the Chick Fil A Bowl against Georgia Tech in 2008. I don't count the capital one bowl.

he has had all season to mature. not like it's Sept. His performance will depend on one thing and one thing only and that is if our defense get into his backfield to sack, hurry, and cause him to throw interceptions. we pressure him he fails. If their offensive line gives him time to execute it's gonna be a long night.

an underclassman has not won the BCS Championship since they've played the BCS Championship, if that makes you think anything about pressure.

thats not the same as the BCSNCG. The pressure of the game is completely different

He played in a game this big on nov 5th. IMO, what u saw is what ur gonna get. I doubt he does any better, or any worse. One thing n our favor is semi home game and the dome should get pretty loud.

Hopefully he throws for more than 30 yards and he leads us to a first down in the first half. JJ set the QB bar pretty high with that performance in Atlanta.

Depends.
If he gets hit hard in his right shoulder, his passing day is over--he is scheduled for surgery right after the bowl game.
If he has time, he should look similar to Nov. 5th.
The real question is which JJ is going to show up

After the performance of JJ last game, I'd be worried about your own QB before worrying about mccarron.

He was just trying to make your guys overconfident. Wait, it's not possible for a Bama fan to be more confident (read, arrogant) That's the Bama culture.

Seriously, I'd take JJ any time he has several weeks to prepare. He's not at his best with one week's preparation following a big game like Arkansas. But he da** good with a lot of coaching and preparation around a game plan.

I hope the Bama players are taking a win for granted like their fans are. The players seem to think motivation is all they need judging from their comments. I believe our guys are taking note and feel like making a point... again. Good.

I'm with the group more concerned with how JJ plays. If he plays like he did against TAM last year or Arkansas this year, it won't matter how McCarron plays. I do think McCarron is the key for Bama. He needs to play well or we're going to clamp down on the run and it's imperative that McCarron not turn the ball over. They have no chance if he turns it over. We're good enough everywhere else to win without JJ playing well,Bama is not. Against another team Bama would be fine but not against us. We match their defense and dominate their special teams.

i think mccarron, wilson and murray all got rattled as the games wore on. our pass rush is awesome. usually, their qb can't make all of the reads they need to.

I agree that it will be the same McCarron, and I also agree that the bigger question is how JJ will do. Except in my opinion, well have a much better JJ. People forget that it was his first game of the season and he didn't get the majority of snaps in practice like he will leading up to this game. He's had his best games in bowl games. I'm optimistic

Look for skid marks both in his pants, and on his face.

Just imho - Not sure it makes any difference in this game.
