Jindall had nothing to do with it. It is against the law in LA for LSU AD to receive any public funds. It is the only college in LA like that including Tulane. This has been true since sometimes in the 1930s.

If you want an indication of what Baseball revenue generates: multiply average ticket sales 10,500 @ average cost $15 times 40 home games, then you can almost double that figure for concessions & programs..... add parking, suite rental & advertising and I would say LSU baseball is in great shape financially

Everyone should be proud that we receive no state funds and contribute $7 million back to the university every year!

Just to be clear, that 7 million we "give" back is not by choice. It is the same rate that other auxiliaries on campus are charged. The rec center gives 5% back, as does housing and dining. So while it's awesome that we make money off athletics, it's not like we don't get that money every year regardless of how well the athletic department does

So let me get this straight, are you saying we can thank Jindall for this?

The answer is "what is Skip Bertman".

He started the seat licenses right? Where you pay however much to reserve season tickets, then pay for the tickets.

That helps a ton.

Wait for the posters complaining we spend too much on athletics while the school suffers.

Football program is keeping this uni afloat.

concessions

I see people post this. Concessions arent ran through LSU athletics. It is an outside company.

The other SEC schools are not located in Louisiana. If they were in Louisiana they wouldnt want to take money from our state legislature with all the pockets to line as a result either.

How in the hell can Purdue be on this list? They've never won squat in any sport. Whereas bama has lucked into a few NC's here & there in football & their other programs are not that bad. But with Purdue, Neb. O.State & Penn St., that's 4 in that conference alone. Is it the BIG tv deal kicking in?
