Considering the fact that we didn't beat Alabama in Tiger Stadium for 31 years straight, I don't think homefield advantage means all that much.

Have you not paid attention to the last few times we've played there?

2009 was the screw job of all screw jobs on the PP7 INT, but from 1997-2007, LSU was 5-1 at Alabama, and would've been 6-0 if Josh Booty wasn't a dumbass.

When Bama has a good team, they get the calls at home. They weren't good most of those years.

Is there any way TAF can get some interns to get working overtime on websites like stub hub to collect as many tickets to make them available for LSU fans for the game. I am sure Louisiana fans would pay premium to help the team out for such a big game.

I think getting an extra 5 to 10 thousand LSU fans on top of the the usual traveling contingent would do wonders to negating Bama's home field advantage.

Not likely to help this year.

BUT - for future years, the LSU AD needs to spread out the bama fans when they come to Tiger Stadium. If you recall, Saban (yes, Saban) had the minimum number of seats set aside for visitors to the games starting in 2007 at Bryant-Denny. NO ONE at bama let the LSU ticket personnel know this until the day of the game.

Point being - we need to "return the favor" to the tide. Instead of them having 4,000 + tix in the southeast endzone when they come to
Tiger Stadium, move as many as the SEC allows to the east and west upper decks, just like they did to us.

The LSU season tix holders will get to sit in the lower, better seats at NO charge for the bama games in BR.

Why should bama, or any team, have a greater home field advantage than we do?

Of course the refs still get their checks from b'ham and I agree that is the biggest obstacle for us.

LSU has more tools than last year to beat Alabama again and must beat Alabama (unless Alabama falls down). Therefore Miles will make sure LSU is ready to beat Alabama if it becomes necessary. The best thing the fans can do is to think and to talk positively about the game. It is just another tough SEC opponent, whom we have beaten many times before. People should not wring their hands over it. The pollsters don't mean a darn thing before or after the game. I am confident LSU can beat Alabama this year, unlike last year.
