from what I remember Evan Ingram had a good game against them, while their linebackers are good, they may be susceptible against coverage in the flats

I think our TE's and backs could have some good opportunities in the passing game

3 catches 78yds and TD. All possible via the play action. If they shut our run game down then 0 catches and 0 yds and we lose bigly

I really think in order for us to move the ball against Bama we will need to use the TE over the middle to hopefully keep those big MLB from plugging the line every snap and hit our RB's on some screens to try and keep their D-Line honest.

if we hit a few big completions to the TE it will keep them more honest in regards to plugging the line

anything to get LF7 a few more steps up to speed

Not sure at this point. I figured he would have played a bigger role against Ole Miss

In these types of games, you always have those unexpected heroes show up. Could it be Smith? Ferguson? Battle? It's exciting to think about.

I'm no coach or have no inside info, but I heard the problem with Smith is his blocking and the risk we take with him in the game if we have to check out of the called play into a play which would require he blocks, esp pass coverage. If it wasn't for that, he'd be in the game much more than he is. Just what I heard.

I have the impression, which I might go check in the OM v Gump replay soon, that their LBs have been good in coverage outside the tackles, but not so good in the middle.

Yeah, I know... sounds retarded when talking about Bama. But if Engram (or any TE/RB) catch chart shows it, it is what it is.

If anyone has seen such info, lay it on us.

If there was ever a game to get Malachi on the field in the slot this is it. Dural, Chark and Dupre with LF in the backfield and Jeter/Smith at TE. Bama's good but not 3 deep DB good.

That gigantic front seven and those huge LB's are going to eat Etling (and Fournette) up if LSU can't get that short passing game up the middle going. I'm thinking LSU's OL will do a decent job slowing down that front seven.....it's them big fast LB's that's got me concerned. For sure, I will be glued to the television to see how Ensminger works this. Also can't wait to see Aranda in action. Dang, I can't wait.

My Tigahs gonna shine.

Tigahs - 24

Bama - 21

Smith/Jeter will play a pretty big role, I think. And, let's not forget that Fournette was about 6 inches away from a ~70 yd touchdown pass last year if Brandon Harris could have just executed a 5-yd pass with touch. I expect wheel routes and TE chips/releases to be a big part of Ensminger's game plan.

gotta get the quick passing game going in this one or their pass rush is going to blow right past those guards we have playing tackle. Smith seems to not be much of a blocker, but we've got to work on slipping the TEs and RBs underneath coverage and isolate them against LBs for those 5-15 yard throws. that's how you move the chains.

Hopefully we get the TE's involved early and often . No better way to keep linebackers guessing. Leading to Leonard Time.

Sounds retarded? Bama gave up 500+ yards and 43 points to OM. I'm not sure what's retarded about that. They also gave up 30 to arky. Clearly, they aren't invincible
