re: How many LSU fans are traveling to the Fiesta Bowl?

I’ve been to 18 consecutive LSU bowl games, and there is always a bigger LSU contingent than the Rant predicts.
Every. Single. Time.
We’ll have 15-20k at Fiesta. Being a new destination will mitigate/minimize any lack of excitement due to opponent.
Every West coast LSU fan is already making plans to attend.

Hire Kendall Briles next week and announce he'll be next to E in the box calling plays. We'll have 10's of thousands. Otherwise E stays on for another year and a few thousand make the trip

Quick drive from Los Angeles... I'll be there! Can't wait to see the Tigers play in person.

It would be a stretch to say that we had 5K in the stands at the 2014 Outback Bowl. It was embarrassing. I hope you’re right in that we have over 10K fans make the trip. Flights are not cheap though.

I imagine the UCF fans may think we’re a pretty shitty opponent as well. They haven’t lost a game in 2 years. We finished 3rd in our division and 6th overall in the SEC, and haven’t been to a decent bowl in 10 years. We are hardly the marquee opponent that we once were. Get over it!
wut???
this is their superbowl.
They dont play P5 teams otherwise, much less top 10 ranked P5 teams

Wish I were a balling retiree, could go watch LSU-St Mary in Vegas on the 15th, just stay at the Wynn or Aria for the next two weeks of Bowl season, NYE parties, and red eye a 45 minute SWA flight into the Fiesta

UCF pumped up and aiming to prove the selection committee wrong, and all on board. LSU missing several players for one thing or another, with nothing to play for. We will lose. Not wasting my time.

It’s a new destination for LSU. Something different than Dallas, Houston or Atlanta.
