think what you want about Miles, but there is a reason an ex NFL assistant, and BCS head coach should really not give a freak what a HS head coach says.

And if he had no intention of him playing QB, why would you want him to misrepresent the truth?

JJ would still start and be our qb.

The program sells itself when you win 2 national championships.

Thomas would not do any better in this offensive system that the guys we have. He is currently in a system designed to be so fast that the QB does not have to think, make reads, etc. He just executes the called play. If he doesn't execute that play, he will only have another 100 chances.

Why doesn't every 5 star athlete have a purple and gold wardrobe, then?

You are retarded if you think he does not make reads and check downs.

Thomas is good no doubt.

Now here is the question:

Given how we went from a traditional blocking scheme to a zone blocking scheme in 2009, would he still have a chance to succeed given the results from it? I am not sure if want to have go through something like that given how things turned out.

Also, Miles could have said what he said to Thomas thinking he was still going to have Perriloux. I will tell you this, those particular events (including RP being forced out) have turned out to be a bit detrimental for the future of LSU football.

With all of that being said how many people knew how good Thomas was going to be in his high school days outside of the idea of knowing he would be good in the right system? On paper he was short of being a Top 10 overall QB in a 2008 recruiting class where there was not a whole lot of great QB talent outside of Pryor, Luck and Gabbert. Oregon simply saw an opportunity in Thomas being on the board, they took him in and put him in a system that was a fit for him and the rest is history.

He's not just a run first either.. He is a good pocket passer too. ie: UCLA game 22-31 308 yds 3 TDS

Not to mention if Misoli was still there. This kid would still be on the bench. His talents fit the system very nicely though.

Masoli leaving forced this kid to play earlier than he would have otherwise....

Oregon is more than just him though....their O-Line is stout.

Kid made the right choice and it isn't Miles' fault he chose Oregon.

Nothing to see here.........quit bashing

no doubt in my mind darron thomas would be royally misused under miles and crowton.

he made a great decision in not coming to LSU.

To me it shows the same ole thing we see every day from Miles...he will do things his way and once he decides, no one will tell him what to do.

Auburn struggled to score against LSU the other day regardless of their stats. Any decent offense would have beat them by 2 td's.

If JLee starts that game, LSU wins going away because we would have forced AU to be in more of a passing mode than they are comfortable with.
