Would rather have played at UF this year then put ourselves in the position we just did.

Is there any way on gods green earth you frickers would have been happy about going to Bama 3 of the next four years? Gainesville ain't t-town but it damn sure ain't Starkvegas either

Why do people keep bringing this up? A home LSU football game isn't going to change any of the shite that's going on.

It doesn't change what has happened, but it certainly lifts people's spirits and pumps a lot of money into the economy that locals wouldn't be spending due to having so many expenses related to the storm.

Oh yea 15 million $ going into the community isnt gonna help

And where is almost all of that $15 million going? Right around campus, an area that didn't flood. And is an LSU game being at home going to make thugs stop shooting cops?

Didn't want to give in to the SEC/Florida re the 19th but would rather have lost a home game against a scrub this year than this outcome. This sucks.
What you wrote makes no sense. We did lose a game against a scrub.

And from '13 to '20 each team will have 6 home games and 6 away. I agree that the best scenario would have been Sat in BR or sunday/Monday in Gainesville but since none of those options happened (regardless of who's to blame) the current plan is probably the best option moving forward IMHO

Yeah but there was no net loss of a home game because we get Florida. Saying I would rather have lost the scub game and agone to Gainsville to avoid being in this situation.

So you would rather eliminate the team you claim to be a fan from a possible SEC championship. Thank his people on this site don't make any decisions for the university

LSU would rule the Big 12. OK. would be the only competition. If nebraska rejoined probably wouldnt be to bad. As a whole though that conference is bad. Imagine playing kansas, iowa st, kansas st , texas tech on a yearly basis and those road trips .

This isn't a win at all but a GIANT screw job to LSU by the SEC and Florida with warm fuzzies from Alabama. Florida had their chance for their "home" game and decided to throw it away for competitive reasons. They were not entitled to anything other than being charged with a FORFEIT for the stunt they pulled. So what happens? Florida recoups their home game next year at the expense of LSU. Florida gets to escape the consequences of their cowardice in cancelling this years game. LSU is burdened with a tougher road to win the west this year AND next year (Alabama loves this) in addition to losing the South Alabama home game. Screw the SEC. Screw Florida. Screw Alabama. and Screw Joe Aleva for allowing this to happen as it has.

What if another flood happens next summer, or a hurricane that impacts BR like Gustav did? Home game given up to play frickin BYU in Houston, home game given to Florida from this situation.

It's not a win. It's just better than nothing. I guess.

This is what I'm saying. All these assholes think we stuck it to the SEC/UF. We didn't. This result is MUCH worse then losing the S. Bama game and playing at UF.

Net result is we lose a home game over 2 year period and extra revenue from difference in ticket prices because Stankey caved in.
