How do you figure? If your series is tied after Saturday, the Sunday game still only counts as one game. A win against #1 is better than a win against #21.
As for our inflated ego, I'll remind you that we don't have to read about you and your fans, we experience you all too often. You may tell yourself that beating Bama on Sunday is more important than beating LSU tomorrow, but that doesn't make it so. And the reality is that the LSU game should be more important to you. LSU is not only ranked higher, but most of your fan base lives and works around a whole lot more LSU fans than Bama fans.

I knew what you meant.
If ULL wins the game, which is certainly possible considering this is baseball and ULL is very good, it will be featured on the front page of the Advertiser. If LSU wins, it will be on the sports page of the Advocate, where it belongs.

The RPI formula takes into account series wins. It is part of the calculation. A series win is more important than 1 game. Although I agree, I'd love to knock off #1 LSU.

I want to beat LSU, of course. Not gonna deny that. But to say that it's our "world series" is just a projection from your fan base to make it seem like that's all we think about. This isn't football… we have beat LSU in baseball plenty of times in the past… if we do it again tomorrow night it would be cool… season goal? No. If we lose, so be it, we have a big weekend series coming up next weekend. We'll probably meet again in the post season anyway.

Sadly that doesn't surprise me.
They struggle to get the correct game times on the site, asking them to get the correct score and outcome might be too much.
And I'm a Cajun fan, fwiw.

You can treat the game how ever you fricking like. I would argue that pointing out that one game against LSU is bigger than one game against Bama is not the same as treating either as YOUR WORLD SERIES.
