"congrats on the world series win - meaningless midweek game"

or

"yeah, they can't hang with us"

I'm just looking forward to a good game between two good teams.

7 pages into this big bro/lil bro pissing match & nothing has changed. LSU fans say this is ulala's world series. ulala fans say LSU is pitching a weekend starter against them. LSU fans say this game means nothing-win or lose. ulala fans say this game means nothing-win or lose. Fact of the matter is, both sides are right. This particular SINGLE game does mean nothing, one win or loss will not make or break either team's season. Glenn was a weekend starter last year & may be one this year but he hasn't started a weekend game yet this season, so who know what Coach PM has in store for this kid. ulala, aka lil bro, does want to beat LSU, big bro who is also ranked #1 in the country. Why wouldn't they? They are an up & coming mid major program that has experienced some success in the past & is looking to make some post season plans, beating a team like LSU helps them tremendously in their RPI & resume come selection time. But regardless of what happens tonite, there are a lot more measuring sticks that both teams will have to measure up to come the end of the season. A win for ulala would help them in a lot of ways, pride, recruiting, RPI, & tournament hopes. A loss really doesn't do that much for them either way. A win for LSU really doesn't do much for them-the pride is there, the recruiting is there, & LSU will not need help come tournament time. A loss is the same thing, its a midweek game.
Here's to a good game tonite & I hope the Tigers kick that peppa' arse.....not that it matters.

When was the last time you played a fellow Top 10 opponent in a midweek game?

Believe what you want, but you guys are NOT a top 10 team.

not sure why you don't think that usl is a top ten team. we returned the entire lineup and added two juco pitches to solidify the rotation. until they prove me otherwise, I would definitely think that they've earned a top ten ranking thus far. however, after the weekend series with bama, it will tell a lot about how good they really are.

I thought you had to prove you were a top 10 team before being dubbed one?

Im not saying yall arent good, but your opposition so far has been less than stellar for a team that has a lot to prove.

Dude please. We'll see at the end of the year who's a top 10 team. You'll be sent to BR for a regional and you'll be going home when it's over.

Wow, I predicted this response on the last page. You didn't make me wait long at all. Typical. The "Alabama fans" of college baseball.

UL? Its to early to declare ULL the 2nd best program in this state. ULM has beaten them in football, mens and womans basketball. Not sure the same want happen in baseball. hell, they may not be any better than LSU-E. Seriously, ULL is off to a great start and they do have a good coach but credit the Skipper for Louisiana's baseball prowess, high school and college.

They are very good...aggressive at the plate, and they have great speed on the base paths
