Of course if we started running the bone Les would change his recruiting to statue QB's with rocket arms and small, pass catching tight ends. Our recruiting guys that don't fit our system is still the biggest mystery about our program. I think I might have an answer but I like Les so I'll defer.

We now run the boneless bone...except we do not ensure the one on one coverage on receivers.

If GA Tech can be this effective, what can't we?
Les Miles. Somehow he would run a "predictable wishbone", even by wishbone standards.

Exactly. Up to this point, we've only had one of our great RB's on the field at any given time.

We run the diamond formation, very occasionally, which puts tons of our rb's on the field.

Watching GA Tech

People shite on the GT offense, saying it's only for teams with inferior players. Well ... if inferior players can win 10+ games a season using it, what about talent-rich teams like LSU?

I'm not saying I favor a switch, but we have to do something to compensate for the fact that our passing attack is actually a hindrance in our present situation.

The FB runs up the gut. Yes, Williams might be effective there. The QB runs off-tackle. Yes, Jennings would be strong there. The Halfbacks run on the edge, you design them to take the pitch and fly down the sidelines. We have ... nobody for that role; and you would need 2 to truly be good at it. Fournette is great off-tackle, but that's where the QB would run. He isn't a breakaway back on the edge.

The QB doesn't really run off tackle. He reads the end and keeps or pitches at the edge of or just outside the tackle box. (Of course, this can vary from play to play.)

Not every play is a triple option. The left HB takes one step to the right and goes off-tackle between the 2 and 4 hole behind both the FB and the right HB. Or, a fake to the FB and hand off to the HB off-tackle (instead of QB going down the line). All kinds of ways to fake and give to one of the HBs.

Tough to believe that LF, DW, Guice, etc. would not be effective catching the ball on the corner with a full head of steam.

Of course, this is all a pipe dream, but it sure would be fun to watch.
