Playing to the strengths of the offense would be a good start

If it walks like a 112th rated duck, quacks like a 112th rate duck...... Then it is time to get a new duck in the pond. Simple, cancel the chinese firedrill offense & DO SOMETHING with the talent he has.

Shep wasn't used much last year
Obviously the line has pass blocking issues, maybe more 3 step and rollouts would've helped.
We have some of the tallest receivers in the country, just throwing fades down the sideline wouldn't have been terrible.

Option to the wide side of the field. We went to the short side last year, opponents will be expecting it. First play, option to the wide side = touchdown. Book it

Do you really need this explained?

Let's see...let's call an option play with a QB, who has not been able to run it all year, with an injured ankle. We had three receivers over 6'2 and ran two fade routes, both agaisnt Auburn, both for TDs, and the play got lost in Crowton's black hole of successfull plays.

We had the fastest runner in NCAA football and the number 1 dual threat QB in the country and did nothing with them. We ran the same predictable play with Shepard at QB every time, we didn't run a screen pass until the Ole Miss game, we rarely ran designed QB draws, which Jefferson was great at, but continued to force the option play which he obviosuly cannot execute. And to top it all off, he called an option play with Lee at QB at one point.

I was going to say top thirty, but top forty could work. If our D is lights out and we can run the ball effectively this year, we don't have to be top 20. It would sure be nice though.

Last year the offense looked like a frick train wreck.

If it looks like a car crash this year it will be an improvement.

I'm thinking that it would be cool for a wide receiver recruit to not drop LSU from consideration because the offense can't get the ball to wide outs....for starters. And as previously mentioned, moving up from 112 out of 119 schools in total offensive stats would be good too.

The O would have to be revamped. Better running game, better passing game, Get the ball into the key players hands more often. Play has to improve a lot compared to last year IMO

Shep was barely used, Trindon Holiday disappeared (UF figured out how to murder defenses with Rainey and Demps, why couldn't "The Wiz Kid"??) He ran an offense that was for the most part predictable, and took chances at dumb moments.

No more middle screens with fricking time running out!!!!

Also no more 3 passes in a row when LSU is already in field goal range!!!

Well Lee did run a spread offense with some option in highschool. Just saying...
