Stop making post on message boards about how awesome and beastly they are.
This and stop Mel Kiper and McShay for giving these guys draft grades before they are proven players. The NBA is far worse...Ben Simmons is already slotted as a lottery pick and he is still in HS.

Apparently, they did not have the same level of talent that we've had.

5 losses says different, unless you want to blame the coaching, which to my knowledge you never have before.

There's also the socioeconomic factor that I don't think you're considering...

I didn't realize that the Oregon, Ohio St, Alabama, and Florida St players were from much wealthier families.

If eligible, Ben Simmons would be a high lottery pick this year.

I get it, but when you get a report about a guy like Dillon Gordon staying.....is that serious? I understand Alexander and even Collins and mills. Hutger, I can see has upside, but we are talking about a guy who has started one full year. Mills, Collins, Alexander...they've all contributed since day 1 basically. That I can understand.

I don't really have an issue with it all, but we are not talking about 1st and 2nd round guys leaving or even blue chip all American type recruits. We are losing the base of our classes along with the top end.

Every other college football school has found something to so many from leaving early. We should ask them how they keep juniors around.

Uh, those schools don't have NFL talent on their rosters. Their juniors have nowhere to go.

Many of our players have left early and had unexpected success in the NFL. That's a huge motivator for guys to leave early. We've had some guys go to the draft that ended up surprising even our fans when they were able to get coached up in the NFL and make significant impact at that level. So even if they aren't first rounders, these underclassmen think they can do what others before them have done at the professional level. And eventually they'll make really good money. They're rolling the dice on their skills and betting they can pan out like other players have done.

And with the instability on defense with a new DC coming in, it makes it even more attractive.

Guess we shouldn't have so many guys in the NFL tearin' it up....

It's a hard truth. 2012, 2013, and 2014 win/losses did not meet the level of talent wearing the purple and gold.

Unless, of course, your previous statement of LSU having more talent than the rest of the nation was incorrect.

You do realize that guys could've went straight out of HS not too long ago right?

NBA and NFL is apples/oranges

Offer them a $3,000,000 contract.

Good grief.

These kids voluntarily decide to play (and, oh by the way, they get their college education paid for). They can quit at any time.

I recall an all-pro NFL player a few years ago, who had a massive contract, equated his situation (free agent status) to slavery. Just beyond belief, on all levels.

Is it possible that our coach respects our players and doesn't expect them to make poor economic decisions for HIS gain? That is WHY they respect Miles.

Either start recruiting less talented players or have the NCAA make a 4-year rule. The latter isn't going to happen, and the former would be stupid, so...
