Let's make it clear, Sampson and tone take the bad shots. Both freshman both will learn.

if the coaching matched the talent. This is not a knock on Jones but an observation. Blakeney is a star waiting to be born. He oozes raw potential. There is enough talent in the top 8 players to be special. Can the coaches put it all together? Hmmm.
Honestly, Blakeney is a very raw athlete who probably wouldn't be playing as many minutes and never would have started for a lot of good programs. He can be special but he needs to work on his shot and defense.

Other than that I agree. Although I think the team is much deeper than 8 players, but the coach does not seem to be able to work true centers into his "scheme".

He's very advanced on defense for a freshman. He's our best perimeter defender with the way TQ watches the ball, and its the reasons he gets playing time at the end of games over Hornsby

There is no scheme that can hide their lack of quickness

It's unlikely we would have this talent without this coach. It is a package deal. Very Dale Brownish.

Ask Duke fans. They have better talent and a better coach and they don't seem to be doing that much better than LSU as of late.

Sooooo long ago. I mean, this is at least 10 months old.

This should be obvious to even the casual fan. We better get everything out of this kid while we can. He won't be here long. JJ finally figured out he could play him at the 3 because of his great hops. I wonder what his vertical is. Let's hope he continues to get time at the 3 position . I think it's his best chance to help the team this year.

If it had Jordan Mickey to defend the rim

I definitely don't want Jordan Mickey on this team after his performance in the NC State game.

You mean after losing his legs due to poor conditioning caused by an ankle sprain and an iron defiency issue over the last few months?

Seriously, only a complete idiot wouldn't want Mickey on this team, congrats. We could certainly used his help defense, shot blocking, rebounding, and depth.

I guess you'd rather RR3 and Darcy.

I don't see any of that. Usually Hornsby is in at the end of games.

good god, man. The coach controls how his team plays. If a team plays undisciplined and sloppy, it's almost always an indication of poor coaching.

True, a coach isn't responsible for individual physical errors (all players miss shots and make bad plays) but when it's systemic, THAT'S on the coach.

I mean this hasn't be true with games we've had the lead and even other games.

Blakeney has been in there for defense. See Kentucky and Alabama

Did you bump your head? We have talent however obviously you don't watch much college basketball. Other than Victor down-low, whom has been in too much foul trouble as of late, we have no one else to spell him.

Antonio Blakeney is going to be a pretty good college basketball player. Similar to Former tiger Antonio Hudson, but he's no star waiting to be born. Special? C'mon Man. Take off the purple and gold blinders.
