The OLine problems seem to have been sorted out the past two games. We are running for well over 200 ypg. The passing game was much better versus South Carolina and was just off against A&M. Mett was throwing either into the wind or with a strong wind at his back all day. He had a number of balls that were just a little off that would have been huge plays.

If half of our dropped passes are caught, how good is this offense?

If half of the throws that Mett just misses are on target, how good is this offense?

You are talking about an extra 40-60 yards per game just on those plays that are just missing as well as what could happen after drives are extended. I know that every team can say this, but we have the athletes, the OLine is playing better, the running game is top notch, and it seems like we have been so close all year.

What if it comes together, just on our end. Very few of our errors have been forced by the opposition this year. Our biggest problem has been LSU not executing or shooting ourselves in the foot. What if the bye week helps the team get their own heads on straight and OBJ catches the balls that hit him in the hands like he did last year and we make the plays that we are capable of?

Suddenlty, this game completely changes.

How close are we?

LSU doesn't have the WRs.

I hope your right.. But I agree we don't have the receivers and I don't think Metts problems are magically fixed after a bye. Hopefully I'm wrong.

That does seem to be the biggest problem, doesn't it?

Eventally Les will realize that he has to be able to show enough on offense to recruit really good WRs. We have guys that are highly rated, but they are all slot guys. We are missing a big bodied WR that can get separation.

We are what we are and have been for the last 5 years. Strong defense, good running game, lack luster QB and receivers. We can put up good numbers on offense if everything clicks. Problem is, it doesn't click very often. We can win with our D and running game. We have to win without a passing game.

we're as close as 2 OL getting out of the way and letting a real OC run the offense.

Only LSU can beat LSU. We're the best team in the history of the Milky Way!

This should change after this season.
One would hope anyway.

I think this team has a lot of pride. I hope they do anyway.

The whole world is saying they have no chance, even though they have won 22 straight at home and are 31-4 over the past 2.5 seasons.

LSU does not lose close games. Those 4 losses were all by 7 points or more. So, if it is a close game - and with our defense and it being at home, it very well could be, I think LSU wins it.

close to being above average, far from being really good. I think really good kicks in next yr.

Well, we're a few WR catches away from being really good. Mett's comp.% and TD numbers should be higher.

We have WR's but we throw to them at the wrong time.Watching the Alabama vs Miss St. replay, Alabama threw to the tight ends and the backs out of the back field. When Miss St. tried to cover the backs and tight ends, Bama hit Kenny Bell over the top on a deep route. You would swear we don't have backs or tight ends capable of catching a pass.

not very--les has got to hire a real OC for next year for starters, and Mett has got to develop touch on the ball--unfortunately, touch is something that you either have or don't. Mett overthrew 4 receivers that were wide open against the Aggies by at least 5-10 yards-it doesn't matter whether it was with or against the wind.
RUN< RUN< RUN with our great backs, and hope Mett can complete a pass every once in awhile--defense and running game win games, and hopefully it will this week.
