shocked.... but will you FINALLY be able to admit that miles is the problem?... doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity... LSU has the most insane fan base of all time.

Agreed. He will be far more developed in 2016.

Way to be optimistic. With fans like you, we definitely need new ones

We need fans that always think next year will be better, then when is not, well there is always next year.

I am hearing that Etling is looking good. If Harris doesn't improve considerably, Etling might just snatch his job

The thing about Harris this year is that he played well in stretches - seems like I can remember instances of quite a few completions in a row. And as shown above, his overall numbers were not really terrible. But then he'd have stretches where he was inexplicably very bad - I'm talking not even close with this throws kind of stuff.

I'm not an expert like so many on the Rant so I don't know if that is a sign of youth that can be improved or something inherent. I do think that if Cameron stays on the sideline he has a better chance of short circuiting those bad stretches before they take over a game. I also think getting him to move around more helps him. But I don't know how that plays into LF's preferred style of offense.

I believe BH will be better in 2016. How much better I cannot say.

His pass efficiency rating of 130.5 ranked Harris #7 among SEC QB's, per ESPN. He'd have to be among the top 3 next season for us to have a chance at winning our division IMO.

Also amazing how fast Ppl forgot that it was 21-20 with tech in scoring position until the interception which completely changed the game.

Compare Harris's stats as a soph (second year in program) with those of J. Russell as a RS Fr (second year in program). It's not apples to apples since Russell was splitting time with Marcus Randall, but Harris has better passing stats and much better run/sack stats.

Statistically Harris and the offense might have looked okay, but Harris' inconsistency made the office too unbalanced. Our opponents saw this and loaded up against the run, daring Harris to beat them.

Some teams were unsuccessful at this, either because they couldn't stop Fournette or Harris was having a good game (he had good games!) or both.

A few teams were successful, primarily because Harris *wasn't* having a good game.

Don't forget there were a lot of drops, and losing JD Moore hurt.

One might mention the defense as well. For the most part the defense was outstanding, but they did give up 30+ points in those three losses and 24+ points in four other games.

Don't get the impression I'm a negatiger. I agree Harris can improve enough (he doesn't have to be a superstar) and the defense will cut down on the big plays a bit. We should be in pretty good shape next year, especially if we can make better mid-game adjustments on offense, which I think we did against Tech. So I'm pretty optimistic!

cam needs to first fix Harris's mechanics, which went to complete shite over the year. cam's offense also makes it difficult for any QB to have a "great" year. you have to use particularized stats or comparisons to LSU teams of the past

i may not understand your concept of "down field vision" but the only thing he does really well is the deep passing game

that's mostly mechanical (not stepping into throws and too much back foot. makes balls sail)

His progressions suck. His ability to check down recievers is atrocious.

Harris certainly can, and should, get better. Cameron on the sidelines has no impact. Can we stop sounding like idiots about that? If the offensive coordinator being on the sidelines was better, then every team would do it that way, just like every team's coordinators are in the stadium rather than a downtown hotel or the parking lot.

Pretty much.

Cam needs to get away from the seven-steps and chucking up the deep ball nonsense. NFL QB's struggle with that kind of passing scheme - does anyone think a sophomore can succeed running it?

I think Cam Cameron is a poor coach. I think LSU would be better suited getting someone else. IMO, you could replace Cam Cameron with a coach like Pep Hamilton and have better results immediately.

Well Mett's junior year stats were 12 TDs/7 Ints, 2609 yds, 58.8% compl. and a QB rating of 128.3. That's with 2 years of starting JUCO experience and 1 year at LSU. Oh, and with OBJ and Landry at WR. Harris as a true soph. this year was 13 TDs/6 INTs, 2158 yds, 53.6% compl. and a QB rating of 130.5. Is there anyone that was able to give Harris the YAC that OBJ did? BH was wildly inconsistent, but his ceiling is very high. Not all true sophomores are able to play at a high level. Were the coaches at the QB camp all wrong when they raved about BH's potential? Getting Cam to come down to the sidelines should help and more consistent attention to the pass game should help as well. I'm willing to give him another spring to show what he can do.

these are the FACTS. FACTS. FACTS.

the losers on here don't want facts. certainly don't want the facts that PROVE THEM WRONG.

If the player feels like it helps well guess what.....it helps. Trying to talk down to people doesn't suddenly make you correct.
