Young, up and coming, Louisiana guy!
Like I get this... but if you're gonna go this route then why not the NAIA coach (same level as Loyola) who is undefeated at LSU-A w/ D1 experience as an assistant and the #1 overall seed in the NAIA tournament? Lol
Neither should be considered.

I'm surprised Roman Banks hasn't been mentioned

SMH. I know Joe will likely frick this hire up but are people really resigned to taking coaches from NAIA schools and terrible programs?
Posted on 3/10/17 at 9:58 am to slaphappy
Yea! That's what we need, a coach with a 17-13 overall record and 10-8 record in a crummy conference!

Dr. Alexander was at a recent LSUA game
just saying
ETA: as for Larry Cordaro... LSUA's head coach... took a start up program to the NAIA National Championship Tournament 3 times. Program is in its 3rd season of existence
Ruston guy... graduated from LSU... and as mentioned above, does have DI experience
