You can see this coming from a mile away if you've been paying attention.

Ever since Coach O has been head man at LSU, he's acted cool, calm, and collected.

But that's not who he is deep down. Deep down he is a fiery, red hot, passionate Cajun from Larose, LA.

Consider this:

quote:

“I’m calmer now,” Orgeron said at SEC Media Days. “I’ve eased into the head-coach mode. I’ve always wanted to be a head coach. If I wanted to be a head coach, I needed to start acting like a head coach, not a defensive line coach.”

quote:

“I miss Coach O,” CBSSports.com college football writer Dennis Dodd said on CBS Sports Radio’s Gio and Jones. “I miss the old Coach O ripping off his shirt and challenging the Ole Miss players to a fight. I miss the Coach O who used to come home to Louisiana, stock up on crawfish, ice them down in the cooler, put them in the overhead, and fly back to L.A. when he was at USC. But he’s gotten either media training from someone or himself, and it just seems kind of stilted when that charming Cajun accent is spouting cliches all day.”

Media training. Don't be yourself. You must have a blank expression on your face on the sidelines regardless of what is happening on the field. Suppress your true nature.

So at some point, either later this season or next, things will start to look bleak for Coach O. Much worse than it is now. We'll lose a couple in a row, Chicken will fire up the Coach Changes board, and every Rantard will have a short list of Gruden, Stoops, and Chip Kelly.

And Coach O will think to himself "f it". He'll go back to his true personality. He'll rip off his shirt in front of the team. He'll fight for his job. It will fire the team up and we'll upset a highly ranked team, saving O's job...for a while. Will it be enough? Probably not, but who knows.

I think this scenario is a very distinct probability. And unfortunately, it won't end well for us in the Tiger Nation family.

If he loses every remaining game this season there's only like a 20% chance he gets fired. That's where we are now as a program.

IOW, he'll revert back to his Ole Miss caveman mode.

We are so fricked.

Don't even like nor support O. I just don't get on here and act like a giant vagina and wallow in misery. I realize I am witnessing the crybaby generation.

Complacency is the path to mediocrity. But why would a baby boomer care about that? They won't have to deal with the fallout. You see how stupid the generational stereotypes are?
