This. It's a strategy that, given the kind of talent he brings in, will win him 10 games most years.
I hope this is the year it doesn't gives us 10 wins and 2 losses.

My biggest fear is that good teams will stop the run and force us to pass. Hope we can and won't turnover the ball. If so, then that is a recipe for a loss, even with our stout d. Also concerned about special team-return game. FG kicking is good and punting will be once Wing returns. We are good on coverage teams.

Didnt Lee and Randle have a couple 40 yd pass completions?? Do you not think we could do that if we desired more frequently??? Its CLM game plan, we get Wing back in punting and all is well, pin em deep.... Let the D stop em, and the O is doing fine... Now, go take your perceived weakness and put it in your panties..
If we had Wing Thursday night MSU likely only gets one FG. Their second one came from a punt from our goal line that only made it to mid-field. Wing would've at least added another 10 or so yards there.

I agree with everything in your post except the fact that LSU can't come back. In the 7 years with Miles, his teams have rarely been blown out and there have been numerous times where they fall behind, yet still fight back. The problem is that Miles's teams never seem to put anyone away. It's like they wait until they fall behind or until the game is tight in the 4th before they decide to open up the offense. LSU was dominating State Thurs, but kept settling for FG and a fairly conservative game plan. It was 9-6 before Lee (who was having a good game) started attacking with the downfield pass. As good as the defense is, if you allow a team to stay close, one freak tip or slip could result in a big play and your lead and control of the game is lost in an instance.

Don't have the exact quote handy, but in the post game show, Miles said something to the effect of, we could have thrown more than we did, but there was no reason to.

They have separated in the last 4 games they played.
Not sure if serious...

YOur title is the "Team's Weakness" and you don't even mention the atrocious linebacker play.

As for the post about LSU's passing game, the only way that an opposing team will stop the run is to stack the box. I'm confident that Lee and co. are more than capable of makingthem pay if they do that.

Agreed, but we haven't faced a D that is capable of yet. Want to see how UF and Bama do. Am not sold on Arky yet and the others, Kentucky, WKU, Ole Piss, UT and Auburn should not be an issue.

While i'm sure the game plan is to wear down the other team if LSU needs to come back i'm sure they can do it. Just because we struggled doing it with auburn and arkansas last year doesn't necessarily mean we will this year, and if you honestly don't think that the coaches run the players through those kinds of scenarios in practice then you are mad.

What you have to realize is that SEC games will nearly always be close....few exceptions. That is the way our conference plays football.
Secondly Les plays it conservative, and why not. Mississippi State had NO chance of scoring a touchdown against our defense. That was evident by the end of the first qtr. So why take chances on hostile turf.
This team has few weaknesses....You'll see that WV has no chance in the game this week, unless we turn it over and beat ourselves. The score may not reflect that fact, but the WV players on Sunday morning will attest to that.

Great, now go find pics of the many times he was either hooked or driven back 8 yards resulting in a high % of the runs over 5 yards on us.

Hatcher is far worse on running downs that Mingo. Hatcher is far far far worse on passing downs than Mingo

I can't argue that. The position stands out more on the long runs I've seen.

Lee passing on MSU last week the first twenty passes, six were fabulous catches by LSU receivers. Than Lee threw all those incompletions, he was more like 15 of 27. This will be more typical of him. The two best rushers this year are not as good as the two best rushers for LSU in 2009 and 2010.
LSU needs JJeferson in 2-3 weeks.

Now I know who to ignore on this board. Thanks.
Lee started like 10-11. Receivers are SUPPOSED to go and get passes thrown in their vicinity. How do you know that they weren't a bit off on their routes and had to adjust. It isn't like they just stand in one place and Lee throws it to them while they wait.
We have young receivers. They might not be perfect in their route running and are having to adjust to where they should have been.
Or, maybe it is a combination.
Or, maybe you should stop being so negative.
