Actually Herbie was probably right in 2007 about Les. But the premature disclosure likely forced Les to abandon the discussions.

ETA: ESPN is going to run with our schedule whenever the season starts looming in, I can almost bet on that. Should be interesting to see how everything pans out

Exactly! If LSU starts off winning ESPN will pick up every LSU Game CBS doesn't because of the matchups and the rankings implications. If they lose a couple they go back in the grab bag...

Miles doesn't strike me as a guy who is gonna be "forced" to do anything he doesn't want to know.

No source, that I know of, has ever backed up the ESPN story.

Herbie is solid, he tries to be straight up. He got run out of Columbus cause he wouldn't suck off the Buckeyes.

You sure he wasn't referring to the baseball team?

Herbie has no idea what's going to happen with the offense, just like no one else other than Les does

Yep sure did, thanks to a ton of turnovers by the defense and special teams. LSU's offense has sucked a major donkey dick the last 5 years.

I mean, he isn't too far from the truth. Our offense has been rather stagnant for awhile. Or defense has been what's keeping us in games the majority of times.

This.
Besides our offense can only get better. Have you seen the spring practice vids (minus the Harlem shake shite)? Last year wasn't nearly as intense. Somebody is lighting a fire under the players asses!

Herbie went with what he thought was, I'm sure, rock solid info in Dec 2007. Lesson learned. I've not got a big problem with him.

The 2011 offense with JLee was FUN FUN FUN to watch by the time midseason rolled around. It was a pound it play-action offense that just steamrolled people on the ground and the air. Then JJ returned....

Everyone blames it on J J. It was Miles who put him in there. What was JJ to say? Nah, I'll pass on bring LSU 's starting QB.

the thing is Miles could have let him pass more rather than just sticking him in there to obviously run the ball.

of course, could have improved his accuracy more. Instead of having him pass when Miles couldn't run anymore on a team.
