For you with better memories, what did LSU accomplish under Herb Tyler? And who was the coach? Just wondering, since some are comparing Lindsey Scott to him.

He basically created the spurrier visor throw by his actions.

A top 10 finish in 1996, but more importantly, he brought back the magic.

He kicked Florida's arse when we weren't given a chance.

Herb Tyler was one of the best QB's
In an LSU uniform. All he ever did was execute passes, and extend a play with his running ability.

Cedric Donaldson is the guy that really sealed the deal against Florida.

Cedric couldn't have done that without Herb's 40 yard touchdown.

He made plays and very few mistakes. Arm and legs were threats. Played with some talent but nothing like we have now. Dinardo was the coach with awful Lou Tepper as DC.

My next door neighbor was a UF alum and gave me shite when the Gators beat us every year from 1988-1996. I sat next to Cedric Donaldson at the LSU-UF. I knew the name but didn't remember exactly what he had done in that '97 game. If I had, I would have bought him beers all day long and then taken him and his family to dinner.

Morris Watts was his OC. Morris Watts was badass. If Dinardo woulda let Morris Watts and Carle Reese do their jobs and just show up at the presser he would still be the coach at LSU
