Mathieu, a sophomore, had two interceptions and 71 tackles on his way to being named the SEC's defensive player of the year for unbeaten LSU. He also returned 26 punts for an average of 16.2 yards per return and two touchdowns.

I'm sorry, but this honestly does not sum up–not even in a nutshell–what he has done for the best team in the nation. The dude headlines what's being called one of the best teams in the history of CFB.

Since the honey badger is such a badass, I hope he knocks Billy Sims' teeth out if he starts all that boomer sooner crap.

Congrats Tyrann...go take what you want.

Maybe win, worst case scenario is he takes regional votes from TR, that alone makes me happy.

this is great for a guy on a team like lsu, esp when we rarely just have one complete dominant player, just a lot of really good players. and think about this, he plays nickel back when we go with 5 dbs.

Congrats to TM7! Nice recognition for LSU and I'll watch the ceremony for maybe the 2nd or 3rd time ever...

Getting your arse handed to you by Southern Miss will not help your case.

On a side note, the ruhtards on Tidefans dot com must be having a meltdown.

The butthurt over there is hilarious. From one poster, "BamaBelle1991":

quote:

After having back to back years of criminals on the ballot--and one of them winning last year--the Heisman committee needs to revamp the moral qualifications a player needs to have to be eligible. Having the Honey Badger in NYC is a complete joke.

The next reply was from "14yall", who was subsequently banned because it was discovered he registered for the site with an @lsu.edu email addy
