You know what is a really bad idea?

Counting on a return game with the greatest CFB offense of all time.

Maybe I should have said we're losing out on the big plays we used to hit, because we're just OK with fair catching everything in the return game

Why return kicks when you have our offense? What has a higher percentage of scoring? This is easy and I was waiting for someone to complain about returns. I don't think we've given up on special teams. We are just being smart about what we do. I'm fine with no returns with the current offense that we have. 1 or 2 play makers on a kick return and 5+ on offense. No returns it is!!

You are so backwards on this. They are actually trying really hard by not returning kicks. Think deeper man....

You're a fricking tard if you think we're losing the special teams side of things in any game. We kick the ball out of the end zone on kick offs which forces as long a field as we would normally get if we didn't. We have a great field goal kicker and a punter who can flip the field. All you need in the punt return game is a guy who is smart and doesn't do risky shite with the football or with fair catches. The kick off return game has largely gone the way of the dodo for everyone.

Nobody's counting on punt returns, Jesus.

Kickoffs I'd fair catch too.

But let's at least work on finding a punt return play that gives him more time and tell him to occasionally attempt to run... He doesn't muff them.

Who knows though, maybe they are trying but can't get it figured out.. It would be nice to have a badass return game to go with our offense, got to agree there right?

You are an idiot.

New NCAA rules have made returning kickoffs a negative in most situations.

On punt returns, we have played it safe with fair catches, because our offense is so good.

Our kickers are all excellent.

You can blame Orgeron for this philosophy, but the special teams coach is just executing what he is told.

I, for one, agree with it.

No. why risk it with our offense?

LSU is tied for 3rd in the NCAA /w 2 punt returns for TD.

I wouldn't really count Baskerville's TD as a punt return TD.

Our primary return guy has zero return TD's and isn't in the NCAA top 20 for return average.

With Burrow behind the helm it's clear the plan is to just not lose any games on special teams.

This, this right above me, isn't true.

Did you count a blocked punt or something? When were the 2 punt returns for tds this year. We had a kickoff return for a td off of an onside kick I know

We give up a good bit on kickoff and have gotten gashed on returns.

Majority of our kicks go out the back of the endzone for touchbacks.

You are being extremely overdramatic by saying gashed.
