I went to the same high school as him (Airline) and played under the same head coach as him (Toby Todd). Toby and my dad have known each other since college and so they speak when they see each other out.

Dad went out with my mom last night and ran into Toby. He asked if he has spoken with Travinski and Toby said he speaks to him almost on a daily basis. He said Hayden pulled a rib cage muscle taking BP before the 2nd game of the Supers that has progressively gotten worse and that is why he has looked off and hasn’t been playing.

So, there you have it.

So what you’re telling me is that he swung the bat so hard he broke a rib, that’s some Bo Jackson level shite

Hopefully Travinski gets healthy enough to hit but Milazzo has locked down the catchers spot for the rest of the season. LSU likely isn’t playing this weekend if Milazzo doesn’t start the last three games. Milazzo’s ability to frame is a big reason the bullpen has pitched so well.

There’s a chance we’d be 2-0 if he started vs wake tbh.

But I digress. Trav is awesome. Wish he was healthy. Could use his bat with the wind the next two days.

Love big Trav but he probably isn’t able to get that tag on the runner on the squeeze play either. He’s a big dude and just not as nimble and mobile as compact Milazzo.

If you don’t think that framing and receiving played a part in that 6th inning, you probably shouldn’t be posting in baseball threads.

They’ve both been immensely key players to our season in different ways. There’s some inherent bias with what I’m going to say here but Travinski has been one of my favorite players if not my favorite player. He enjoys playing and doesn’t take himself too seriously out there.

He’s a beast but no one is disappointed in Milazzo’s defensive performance.

This completely gets overshadowed. Watching Milazzo the last few games and he is an elite defensive catcher. With the strike zone shrinking, this is a massive nuance of baseball that most “fans” miss out on.

pulled a rib cage muscle

That hurts. Feels like a cracked rib. I’ve done that twice and both times it was healed within 5 days.

Bringing absolutely nothing to another level.

I was just trying to lend a little more credence to what OP said. Carries a little more weight maybe if more people can corroborate.

Calm your tits.

Those injuries suck. Very painful and take awhile to heal.
