Has the basketball team turned the corner or is this fool's gold?

I really really really want this to not be just us playing well for a week and actual improvement. It's hard to say we improved for sure after just 2 games of playing up but the fact we had a TON of adversity tonight (15 offensive boards for WVU and 24 turnovers for us) and won shows a lot.

We hust beat the #16 team in the country and Jordan Mickey played 2mins in the 1st half. Other guys stepped up for us like TQ and Hornsby.

Fools Gold or not, I love what I saw from the entire team tonight.

I think we are improved. We overcame a huge deficit in the second half, usually we fade away and lose, not this time. Huge win for the morale

I think it shows the talent on this team more than anything. To have so much go wrong (turnovers, foul trouble, star player out most of the game) and still win on the road against the 16th ranked team is impressive. It's not like we played a great game.

we have turned the corner I think.

LSU dominated Umass who was a tourney team last year

we just went on the road and beat a ranked team, and without Mickey for the entire first half.

Fools gold. This team lacks depth and makes wayy too many dumb mistakes. We almost blew the game tonight with bad passes and an awful foul by Martin in the last 30 seconds

Too early to know....theyve looked a hell of a lot better this week than they did in the virgin islands but the sample size is still too small.

It was a good win no doubt but LSU was extremely sloppy and careless with the ball. That has to get cleaned up because other teams will see this and try to apply the same type of pressure WVU did.

combination of both. Players stepped up big like we thought they would, but still way to many mistakes.

Still too undisciplined and careless at times, but hopefully confidence helps that get that settled.

Well this should build their confidence! Remember these guys haven't been playing together that long! They need to find their stroke and I believe they are buying into their system and that's good news. I thought this was a great game for JJ, this dude has earned it. He works hard for LSU on the recruiting front and it's starting to pay off. They need to be more consistant and I think they will and can now that they know they can compete with the best. They just blew out a very good team and beat another on the road not just down the road either this was a big win!!! Now they know they can compete I think they will play harder and get better. GO TIGERS!!!
