That's quite the predicament.

I always stay the whole game. I cherish every minute I get to be in Tiger Stadium. It's only six or seven times a year. In a blowout you get to see the younger players play which is also interesting. After the game I just hangout and drink a couple more beers while the traffic clears.

Leaving early is just plain stupid.

I was absolutely disgusted with myself for leaving early (especially since I am no longer a student, and I was able to get my hands on a ticket for free).

I fully intended to stay the entire game (as I always have in the past). I noticed by halftime, the majority of the section I was sitting in had emptied out. It was pretty pathetic. Next thing I knew, my friends, who I was sitting with (all of whom intended on staying the entire game) decided to leave. Because I am no longer a BR resident, and I did not want to lose the people I was with, I reluctantly followed. It was such a gross feeling. I felt like I had sold out.

I am glad to know that others feel like I do about this. The actual game isn't nearly as important as the partying. That is just a fact now. And I agree...it is to the point where all these "tailgating krewes" are trying to outdo each other. To me, tailgating has become something that people do so that can sound cool around the water cooler at work on Monday when they tell everyone that they went tailgating on Saturday.

I couldn't care less if people leave early, it really doesn't bother me on a personal level. I just look at it as it's 6-8 days a year that I get to enjoy a full day of friends and tailgating capped off by getting to watch LSU football live. I was on the waiting list for years to get tickets in my name, why the hell am I going to waste that money on half of a game. After the game, I go right back to waiting out some of the traffic at the tailgate. At the end of the season, I can't wait for it to start again next year. Maybe this will change as I get older, but I hope my 1 year old son grows up to have the same excitement about it and keeps me that way.

The leaving early doesn't bother me if is almost over, beat the crowd and all. It is the people that never go to the game, they have the big set ups outside and they sit and watch the game on tv and never get close to the stadium. What's the point of this.

Can you name a time when people didn't leave early from the games? What has exactly changed in your mind?

LSU increases the cost of tickets every fricking year. Theyve priced 90% of the old school fans (the ones that helped create the intimidating reputation) out of Tiger Stadium.

Well, if you don't have season tickets, which I don't, It's not a hard decision between paying 200 bucks for an upper deck seat vs. watching it from the comfort of the motorhome. We try to get tickets, but if we cant get a decent seat for a decent price it's not worth it. I'd still rather be there in death valley, but not if is going to cost that much.

You balk at the price of tickets, but you have an RV?

shadowed the game for far too many of our fan base?

Nothing over shadows game results, but how one wants to view/hear/note those results has changed cause our avenues for doing so has expanded.

I might be some what concerned if not for the fact we keep putting in more seats and the Louisiana public, in general, can't seem to get enough LSU football.

That might have something to do with the fact that this is the best of times in LSU football history.

When people decide to leave a sporting event has never been a big concern for me.

I fail to see how young people don't get sick of that shite after awhile. Technology overload. We are raising the first generation of social retards in this country.

Les is known for winning ugly, and people don't want to watch the same 3 or 4 plays being run over and over again, even if they don't work. I don't think that's a good enough excuse to leave, because that is how LSU football is going to be as long as Miles is in BR.

Yeah, and all of that winning is starting to get old too.
