Watching LSU football has diminished my enjoyment of watching LSU football.
This place has provided the entertainment I was missing out on by watching LSU football.

I became an LSU fan because of reading about the games on the Rant.

There are idiot fans in every fan base, and not just on message boards. Some crazy guy here, supposedly who "knows sports," told me that LSU had the best talent in the NCAA each year for the last five years and should have been in the final four every one of those years. He also said the Cincinnati Bengals had 50% LSU players. Basically, it was Les Miles fault that LSU didn't have 2-3 NC's in the last five years.

Didn't take you long to feel threatened did it?

But I do apologize for thinking to the next level.
It seems to be a burden to you.

Enhanced my appreciation for living in Alabama. As dumb as the Gumps and Barners are they are mental giants compared with what goes on here.
Keep it up please.

No. LSU Football (specifically athletics administration) has diminished my enjoyment of LSU football.

No, I just tend to stay away more.

I realize that everything is not cut as dry as many people on here would have you believe.

People will always bitch and offer up their opinion like fact.

I just remind myself I love my school so by default I support the players and coaches, even if they can frustrate me at times.

It is "Forever LSU" not sometimes LSU or LSU when things are going great.

Really?
Like "done deals"?
The Rant, as sad as it may be to say, provides more actual information about the team than the local paper does. You might have to sift through the rumors and bitching, but a lot of stuff comes through here.

so you apparently place a lot of value on the fact that we're better than Kentucky, Vandy, Miss St, South Carolina, and A&M???

Even when we were cruising along and at #2 in the CFP poll, the bitching and moaning was incessant.

I was one of the ones bitching and moaning. Did you not see what was happening??? Were you that blinded by loyalty that you couldn't see reality.

Our schedule was backloaded and I said all along that our season began in November. Yes, it was nice that we were 7-0 heading into the Bama game, but we caught a break that Auburn was awful, Will Grier was suspended, and the So. Carolina game was moved to BR and the Gamecocks were terrible.

So although 7-0 looked nice, it was misleading. And any rational fan could see it.

This mindset is absolutely infuriating.

You support the coaches even though they clearly haven't been getting the job done for years now??? How can you justify that??? All you blind homers who blindly "support my team" are oblivious to the train wreck occurring before your very eyes.

Would you continue to support the coaches if we lost every game 56-0??? After all, you "love your school so by default you support your coaches."

If so, that's called "enabling," my friend.

How spoiled are our fans? You should talk to nearly every other (non bandwagon) college football fan in America.

Saying we should be happy because we're very good compared to a majority of the other 127 FBS teams is completely ignoring who we judge ourselves against.

Of course we're better than Sun Belt, Conference USA, and MAC teams. Even in a down year like this year, we're top 20 and can beat 80-90% of the teams in FBS.

But that's not our standard. We're an elite football program. With our fertile recruiting base, lack of in-state competition, facilities, money, support, etc. we should be in the mix more often than not for an SEC title and playoff spot.

Our real competition are the top 10-15 schools in the country. When we end up at the bottom of that field (like this year) it's a huge disappointment.

I couldn't care less that we're better than Wake Forest, Troy, Kent State, and 90 other inferior programs.
