Has LSU permanently changed its offensive philosophy?

Watching the game last night, I felt like we were looking at a new LSU team. We were up by 8 and still throwing (well attempting to throw) like crazy. The old LSU would have begun working the clock in the 3Q. Why was this? 3 theories:

1) Cam being on the sideline gave him more say in the play calling?

2) Cam and CLM were giving final look at Harris to see if he is the answer for next year?

3) This is actually our new offense and we will look at what the defense is doing and call plays accordingly?

I am going with #2 and #1 helped.

Thoughts?

I think the only reason we were still throwing up 8 was because we knew Texas Tech could score in 30 seconds and needed to keep outpacing them.

I think next year against good teams in big games, we will go right back to the pound the ball up the middle, milk the clock, hope the other team messes up game plan.

Most ignored this thread as it's laughable to think last night was anything different than what we saw the other 12 games of 2015.

We threw it 22 times. 23 if you count Fournette's heave. Wouldn't call that throwing it like crazy.

Les was almost fired for his offense and was told to change it. So he threw a few more times than usual later in the game.

A few typical bowl type wrinkles thrown in. Pretty much the same offense it has always been and always will be with Miles

We just executed better last night against a team that looked like it averaged about 180 lbs. That being said, I do appreciate the fact that adjustments were made at half time, which we haven't seen in several seasons. Same offense but better execution.

To me it looked like the same offense as the first seven games. The philosophy was the same the whole season the difference was execution in the first seven and the bowl game. Competition in those games have a lot to do with it but still have to give them credit. I don't care how bad the other teams d is that is a lot of yards and points on anybody.

I actually like the offense last night. It didn't change that much but the philosophy seemed to be a little different

You are not going to see a real change in the scheme until you see the FB go away in favor of an H-back type formation or running out of the gun more. When LSU puts two TE's and the FB in the game even TTU was able to stuff the box on some key plays.

I did see some play calling changes where we threw the ball or opted not to hand off to 7 when I expected it. LF still got >200 yds rushing...

Harder for Miles to change a play call when Cam is sending it directly to the field instead of thru Lester's headset.

not a huge change, OP, but I agree there was a difference. we attacked the weaknesses more, instead of just running into a stacked box. more running out of 3 wide receiver sets as well.

I didn't see a change at all, just looked great vs a weak opponent.

Exactly... Anybody's offense would look good against TT. They are simply awful. 102nd I think??

So I guess people really are fooled by window dressing. Must be why people do it.

Same offense. We scored 50+ because of 2 reasons:

1) It was Texas Tech's defense.
2) CLM wanted to prove that his offense is better than people give credit, so he didn't take the foot off the gas.
