The media tried to give the 2003 National Championship that we won on the field, to another team.

Yes, and mostly because of the administration.

Alleva is an assclown. No one respects that piece of crap.

The media has hated us ever since someone hummed a battery at the back of Kirk Herbstreit's head at the Parade Grounds on GameDay.

I may or may not know who that was.

The bcs computer system was better to select the best 4 teams. Now, we have an "eye test" of a panel of biased people. That said-- LSU just needs to win. If we were a one or even 2 loss team-- we'd be in the mix this year.

Huh? We have 4 losses this year and are quite irrelevant. Yet, we're getting a ton of media coverage. I'd say that = Respect.

No, must earn respect. Media is not blind to the issues surrounding our program with coaches, administration and most importantly offensive play.

We literally lost 4 games this year. How much respect do you want, were ranked in the top 25..

PS: With that said, I will say the 11 spot drop post Alabama was ABSURD (especially seeing what has happened to Michigan/Clemson) but again, at that point we had 3 loses..

Of course we have. We have lost just about every major game the last few years. You earn respect by winning. We are still a very good football program but we need to start winning the big games and the bowl games.

This shouldn't be unfamiliar to you remember how USC split the national title with us in the 2003 season for no particular reason but the AP felt like it?

This absolutely pissed me off!!! I remember Pete self proclaiming NC after bowl game and the media ran with it!!

You get respect by winning. You lose respect by losing. All teams do. It's an easy concept to understand.

You people are spineless idiots. Crying about wanting respect blaming the coach and the administration and seeking all levels of verification that because the guy you wanted isn't hired then LSU is doomed and will fail. A bunch of entitled whiny arse juveniles. You want respect go and earn it. That is what LSU has to do. Man I can't believe how soft you people are.

Until LSU doesn't win 8 games a year this Century, all other programs must recognize.

Well that's true but this last hire and the way it went down only reinforced what they feel about LSU.

LSU had the ability to change the narrative. I suppose they still do but O has to win, not simply blend in with the CFB landscape.

Good Answer!!

My feeling after all of this drama is that the program is finally moving forward again after being nearly stagnant in transition. Recruiting in in full swing and the staff is making noise. We are still looking at some really good bowl opponents despite our record.

I'd rather look forward and see where this all leads us than get on message boards and bitch about every little thing that doesn't go our way.

I still want to bitch about Florida though. They suck.
