It was awesome to see Romero come through twice last night for the Tigers. His performance got me thinking...has LSU ever played LSU-E? I know they are technically JUCO, but they've won 8 of the last 10 JUCO national championships. Seems like they'd be decent competition for a Wednesday night game.

I just looked at their schedule. They are playing a couple pf games against UT-Tyler. That's a 4-year institution, right?

They are also playing Centenary. I remember LSU losing to Centenary 5 or so years ago. I know Centenary isn't a JUCO.

When I was at Delgado we would scrimmage Tulane. But you would never see a juco play a real game vs major college team.

they are JUCO II. that's why they win the world series so often. if they'd be JUCO I it would be a lot different.

These two sentences don't add up. NDSU is the premier FCS program right now.

LSU-E is Div II JUCO. just like in NCAA there are different levels. Its pretty competitive, just not quite as good as the DI JUCO schools like Seminole, San Jac, Connors etc etc to name a few i played against.

the DI programs tend to be farm clubs for major NCAA schools. the DII programs are for kids that tend to be not quite as developed in whatever part of their game and may not be up to DI NCAA levels.

yea FCS which is basically what JUCO II is.

FBS would be JUCO I

NDSU wouldn't be able to keep up with Bama.

I never realized that they had different levels of Junior College play.

I hate this FBS, FCS, JUCO, JUCO II shite.

It should be:
Division 1 (SEC, PAC 12, BIG TEN, etc...)
Division 2 (NDSU, Montana, Northwestern State, McNeese, etc)
JUCO
Club or Rec

I was confused too, but I think he means that LSU-E is to JUCO what NDSU is to D1 overall (not as to FCS).

Centenary was D1 up until a few years ago when they dropped to D3.

That may be true for most D II but I'd say lsue has become a farm club for D I programs with lsu being the most common,

Nah.... They only sign a few kids a year to DI NCAA schools. DI JUCO are basically sign and place kids. Or kids that throw in the mid-upper 90s who need to work on their craft and can't count to 10 and or speak the English language. Aka Seminole junior college back in my day.

Pretty sure I still have the seams from that 96mph fast ball to the spine against Seminole .... their coach was a grade a a-hole... Ol Simmons! We beat them and he stopped the bus bout 10 miles out of town and made them run in! and that's no shite.
