It's pitiful actually, because the main motivation is to save money. We can't operate like that. You can't save money by not sending the team to the NIT and you can't save money by tanking the rest of the year.

I completely agree with this.

I was thinking about what could possibly be the hold up and it has to be this.

While Miles was stubborn, I think we all agree on that, he did bring in top recruiting class after recruiting class. If he would've adapted his offensive philosophy, he would still be at LSU. So I can see not wanting to can the guy until it was blatantly obvious that he wouldn't change. Which is exactly what happened.

But I digress, Jones' teams have progressively gotten worse since he's been here.
Last year he had the number one player in the country and his team didn't even play in the post season.

This season, the team looks lost. They just look flat out lost, no leadership and all you get from the head coach is "we've got to do better."

If that was the case, Jones' team wouldn't be in the hole they are currently in. And they're just now getting to the "hard part" of the schedule.

It has to be to save money until the season is over. That's really the only hitch I can think of.

I'd rather wait, let him coach it out. But PLEASE start looking Now , with a plan in place at the end of the year.

Why? Sometimes the best thing is to cut your losses and move on. This is just such a time.
