Has Alabama been flagged this season

For offensive holding? I cannot recall holding called against Bama in their games against LSU for at least the past 4-5 seasons

Alabama doesn't hold. If it was called, the official made a mistake.

Yes. I saw 2 called against the center in the Ole Miss game.

My bama friend told me they went almost all of 2009 and part of 2010 without being penalized for holding. He emphasized penalized trying to say some flags were thrown but declined.

Bama had 2 TDs called back for holding during the Ole Miss game. Both on the center I think.

Well, Auburn Offensive linemen were literally tackling and pulling LSU defenders down from behind throughout the game and it wasn't called. It was ridiculous.
I expect the same thing against Alabama.

sometimes they will get called for penalties in games that they have no chance of losing or in meaningless situations in important games, but they will never get called for a penalty in a meaningfull game in a meaningfull situation. Just doesn't happen.

The classic bama home ref call is after a bama score.
bama kicks off, the other team gets called for holding, block in the back, late hit, etc... and then they start on about the 10 yd line.
Happens all the time. Classic momentum booster for the bammers.
Check the Tennessee game. Happened after bama scored to go up 13 - 7.
SO predictable.

With all the attention there will be on this game I just don't see the refs screwing us. Maybe I am just trying to convince myself the game will be called fairly though.

Yes, but Saban threw the flag (they give him one just in case the refs miss something), he was trying to get an excuse to pull the kids schollie.

keep trying, it won't happen. The refs are going to have to be very subtile and skillfull at manipulating the game with all the eyes on this game. But they will manipulate it in Bamas favor none the less. It can't be helped. It's in there blood. Imagine if you had LSU fans reffing the game. Do you think they might try to influence the game in LSU's favor? Of course they would.
