I can't remember a team after winning the national title falling this low the next season. A program of our stature should never give up 50+ points in 2 huge games.

I agree with your point about the defensive failures, but LSU is still in the top 15 of both major polls. Did you already forget about Florida's season last year?

Florida's losses to us and Auburn last year were basically toss ups. They were both close games and could have gone either way.

So, you still give them a pass for losing FOUR games? Hell, they lost to Michigan in the Cap One Bowl.

But they were still 8-4 and lost to Michigan in a bowl game.

Have fans ever turned on a NC team this fast? That is the question. Our fans are the most ignorant bunch of thankless morons on the planet. It used to be masked by our mediocrity, but now it is plainly visible. Maybe it's because the Saints ruined us, maybe we were just idiots to start with. I've never heard fans complain like I did Saturday during the game. I just held my tongue. It's just plain stupid to go to a game and bitch about it the whole time. Find something else to do, please.

Last year, Florida's defense gave up 31 to Troy, 37 to Kentucky, 42 to Georgia, 31 to USCe, and 41 to Michigan.

Our defense sucks right now, but they didn't give up 50+ points in any game, yet. Lee helped them out.

So to answer your question ... yes, Florida.

Let's see, all LSU had to do was replace both starting corners, an all-american safety, an all-american defensive lineman, a solid linebacker, one of their top WR's, their quarterback, etc.

Does anyone remember 2004? Seems like we are similar to that team. Georgia and Texas both took it to us that year.

Alabama went 1-11 in 1993 according to the NCAA record book.

The defense is pitiful, this maybe the best DL in the country with young but talented DBs,and in a 2 week period you get 50 points scored on you twice, and our coach says its a missed tackle here and there and it was going to be corrected 2 weeks ago and nothing has changed I SAY WE HAVE A PROBLEM. oUR PLAYERS ARE Stating to comment publicly.

No doubt, this team has plenty of problems. I'm just saying it's not like we haven't seen this before from other defending national champions. This team lost PLENTY from last year, but a lot of people assumed they wouldn't miss a beat...
