Well Harris isn't taking any snaps at the moment so let's wait until camp gets here until we worry about that. Jennings may be reinstated by that time.

I think you're only half right. It is true that the QB should be held to higher standard and dealt with in a firm manner; however, Les can't kick the guy off the team before he even knows if AJ is guilty of anything.
If it is proven AJ participated in this nonsense in any way I think he should be dismissed (If memory serves Perrilloux was dismissed for a lesser infraction....albeit a repeated infraction). Additionally, if AJ was involved in this incident it speaks volumes about his decision-making ability (a characteristic that was already in question among the fan base).

Considering the altercations and criminal activities are players have been involved in over the last few years, do you really think that Miles would dismiss his only upperclassman signal caller and consequently leave us with a true sophomore and a true freshman as our only scholarship quarterbacks?
Presuming that this is as bad as it sounds, this incident certainly does not justify a dismissal from the team.

You mean kinda like how JLee established himself as the starter and led his team to an undefeated record, mowing down opponents and resulting in a berth to the BCS MNC only to have the ball handed over to the prior summer's arrestee?
Perhaps the extra snaps could allow BH to establish himself as the starter by "earning it on the field". I've just seen too many LSU football players "earn it on the field" and still lose snaps to Miles' pet pupils.

Yes. Even if as a backup.
Jennings absolutely screwed up here. And should be punished. And while I don't think he should lose the starting job "because of" this, if the time he misses allows Harris to get all of the reps and gain an advantage that allows him to be the better man for the job, then Jennings has no one to blame for than but himself.

No - when we start thinking we NEED a player like AJ or JJ who have trouble making decisions on the field and off- we have lowered our standards too far.
We could use Jennings if he is allowed to return and handles the discipline that may come his way
