Some of you may have already read the DD post this morning but this would have been Don Long's 80th Birthday. I'll have to say that reading Dandy Don has been a morning ritual for me for almost 20 years. It was actually the first sports web site of any kind that I read. Probably using NetScape or AOL.

That guy was truly a pioneer as far as sports news online, recruiting/ fan site.

I remember finding out that LSU hired Nick Saban on Dandy Don. Along with the Les Mile hiring. We all probably have some memorable bit of news we read on there.

Anyway, just thought a little appreciation was appropriate for those that are Dandy Don fans.

In. I've been reading Dandy Don since 1998. Always written with class. We're very fortunate that Scott continues the tradition his Dad started. But then, the apple never falls far from the tree. Thanks Scott.
