He said today on the radio that he doesn't see it as a likely option because of the amount of money Jimbo is receiving from FSU. His contract totals 44 million over 8 years so LSU would need to get in the 50 million dollar range to attract him. Also thinks Jimmy Sexton will use the opportunity to drive up the price as much as possible since Jimbo seems to be LSU's only choice. Interesting comments.

Yeah just kinda made me uneasy since many here feel LSU will get Jimbo.

Of course it will. He's a national championship coach in a power 5 conference. May be an impossible get but you have to at least make him say no.

You can't believe what is said here. Jimbo was always a pipe dream, he just wants a raise.

If they want to attract a big name they'll need at least $5 million an year for 6-7 years to be on the table. For the right guy they could go to $6 million a year and that could run up a contract to almost $50 million. That's not really that crazy if you're looking to make a HR hire.

Would be interesting to hear DALSU's opinion haha. He seems to hint at Jimbo.

boosters are buying out a 15 million dollar contract. i would be surprised if they decide to all of a sudden go cheap on the coach's salary.

What is the bust option though? Can't really keep Miles around after all that has happened.

All parties involved will maintain radio silence to ensure a deal gets done.
