You also appear to be slow.

I think he may look "slow" because in the new offense, he has to be patient and allow the whole to open up. In the old offense it was down hill and "3 yards and a cloud of dust."

Guy has great vision, reads the hole, gets 5-7 yards a carry, and people get upset because it's not a 60 yard run.
What people don't get about running into a stacked box is, you're more likely to break off those long runs if you do get the right blocks and make the guy miss. If we spread the field out more and they stop stacking the box we may not get as many long TD runs because the defenders will be further spread out.

He's not slow. But I've also noticed he doesn't quite look as fast and explosive as last year when he took the majority of the carries during fournette's absence. There could be something to the rumor that an injury occurred around the time of the whole wisdom teeth surgery which has him at less than 100%. He also posted a lot of workout videos over the summer. Maybe he added extra weight that reduced his speed slightly. It could also be the offense or the 2nd and 3rd level blocking hasn't opened up a break away chance yet.
I guess we'll see soon enough.

Please post less. This is a stupid thread.

He still looks very quick and explosive, but the only difference I see is at times, he's struggled with the move to zone running schemes.

I think lost in this thought is the fact we are running a completely new offense.
In 100+ att LSU has one rush over 20yds, a 25yd long and only 17 of 10+ yds. This is over 600% less than last year's tougher schedule(so far).
LSU should've had more big gains by now playing those 2 scrubs.
I know the pass game has picked up, but why can't we have both?

If we spread the field out more and they stop stacking the box we may not get as many long TD runs because the defenders will be further spread out.
I only hope that the other 90% of playbook opens things up instead of restricts things further.
ETA:Anchor a discussion on LSU FB, but keep "Release The Kraken" dumb shite going
